Majestic Princess

A misty sky hovers over the bay
Awaiting the Majestic Princess
Suddenly appearing on the horizon
Like a garganuan beast plowing
Through frothy watery furrows,
Eager shopkeepers making ready
For bargain hunters their wares
Expensive doodads for souvenirs.

some bring their doodads aboard as soon as the ship stops.... So pleased you had a lovely peaceful holiday. You wrote beautiful poetry while on holiday.

Thanks so much for the compliment, Shirley. I didn't let my mind go idle, for sure.

You pictured the scene well Milton, I've been on a ship and were greeted by coach drivers wanting us to go on trips and the sellers selling their cheap tat lol. Hope you're having a great time. Happy thanksgiving. Tom

I'm back home now, Tom, but I had a lovely week to myself at a beach resort. I think I saw the largest cruise ship I've ever seen at the marina. The shopkeepers get really excited when the tourists descend on the malecon. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

I do hope you that have found your "happy place," though Delice. I flew to Puerto Vallarta. I have been on a cruise, however, to Barbados. I thought I might get seasick, but I didn't. I found the slow rocking of the ship to be exceptionally calming and relaxing.

Nope, Caren, I wasn't on a cruise. I flew to Puerto Vallarta and back. I saw the cruise ship coming into the bay while I was lying on the beach. My time away was way too short for a cruise. I spent my time relaxing on the beach, people watching, and just clearing my head. Occasionally, we all need to just kick back and throw our cares to the wind. I needed to find my peace here, and I did this time.
