Soulful chorus wistful cries, guitar strums last goodbye, bereaved ears melodies speak, breaking hearts rhythmic beats, lyrics rain mirrored skies, shattered tears brittle eyes, as sombre mourners sing

Knock, Knock

Please place patience upon my palms,
and put much Madness in my Heart.
Stir in my Soul, a somber song-
(Truth in Mind ere I depart)

My course is forced; what woe- remorse!
Thus from myself, at once divorced…
A sojourn at every turn-
and at my door, a Trojan Horse!

Listen To This Song

If I listen to this song
I won’t cry the night long
For the mood I’m in
Has such regard for old sin

But the song wants me to sing
And have the happiness it will bring
So keep playing while you can
I know crying will not make it go to plan.

Blue Melody

If this is another melody
A song of the sad and blue
It'd do no good to feel sympathy
The same really goes for you
My head is spinning softly
With words I can't comprehend
Thoughts I don't recommend
Memories I'd love to lend
My hands are moving swiftly
I just want the song to end.

PRINCE OF SWEET SONGS

"Prince of sweet songs made out of tears and fire......" ( A Ballad of François Villon:Envoi-A.C. SWINBURNE)

The prince showed up in the terrace

Looked skyward a bird falling down a shooting star

The prince called his lyricist and a hangman

Listen to poem:
in the dance of moonlight
a serenade comes to mind
a mellow longing that persists

a melancholic sway that heaves of ache
a craving that refuses to subdue
a calling of the heart felt to the core

a yearning that begs 'Play Misty For Me'
please won't you please 'Play Misty For Me'

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony

‘did you hear it’, he asks me in a dream.

‘I haven’t stopped listening’, I say.

‘I wish I could hear it, just once’, he says with a pained smile.

‘the Ode to Joy moves me to tears’, I say.

‘I wish I could hear my sobs’, says Ludwig ruefully.

‘I wish I could see my tears’, I say.

He laughs a laugh he cannot hear.

I laugh too,
my eyes brimming with tears,

that only Ludwig can see

just drifting along
repeating my life's mistakes
refrains in a song
endless lyrics of heartbreaks
memories of what went wrong

mind singing the blues
sad emotions, falling tears
noticing the clues
admitting the end is near
deciding which life to choose

notes leaving the head
music vacating all thought
releasing the dread
that was pent up in my heart
new refrain, "at last it's dead."

Soft moonlight
Reflects off my guitar
As I wait for you 'neath your window.
I spy your shadow silhouetted by a light.
Taking a deep breath, I start to sing and finger my guitar;
An air of unrequited love, and the sadness of life in the shadow.

I'Ll Have Another, and Keep'Em Comin'

In awe and angst, my Mind exploding-
Near to truth, but nothing knowing!
In Sadness sought, my Soul is sewing;
Weaving woes my Heart bestowing
Exhausted brain, too drained for thinking,
For in Wells of Worry I am sinking...
I might as well just keep on drinking-
And all around me, Poets singing
Songs of old and tunes of yore-
Words that torch me to my core
One more draught, dropped to the floor,
And I can hear their Hymns no more...
