I come to life - brought feet first into this world.

Shins cast in light metal,
Socked feet on soft shoes.
A short dress like armor,
and flawless skin....

Gravel parking lot empty of cars
Screen door bangs as we step through
Formica tables polished until gleaming
Bobby socked waitresses giggling 
Homemade biscuits and eggs served runny
Total due just $2.65 after breakfast for two
Return in a week finding dusty windows 
Empty diner closed since 1964...

tearing the other like wild animals
with words that will never lead to no solution?

Shall we lay awake another night
socked in this pain and regret
when its obvious we no longer care?

Shall we kiss and say goodbye this night
when though broken we still have our being
or shall we wait till we massacre each other?!...

moving blind, no visible exit;
one choice; move forward.

Cocooned in quiet death;

His blindfold facing

Before he got the beauty
His handsome body-
Made of soil

The hand here- head there
The skull divorcing his teeth
As she ran furthermore
Escaping the wrath
Her flesh fresh she soaked-
In the showers of rain
Smelling fresh and pleasant...

A rainbow sliver of sunlight hits my white socked feet, as I sit in my recliner.
I notice the cat has strategically placed himself in the line of sunlight also.
My eyes begin to close, as I snore even more loudly than Shark, my tabby.

Scamper now along the street
Blanketed in sleet

White socked windy feet
Stretched under winter's soft sheet
Of ice thin deceit

Soft now the winds bleat
And stagger through the cold wheat
All footprints delete

Sucking the clouds teat
The pastured winds softly bleat
Winter's flock is sleet

Bright sun has no heat
To melt winter's powdered feet
Or gnaw the snow's sheet....
