Spirit Soars High

Dull drab days drips the spirit down and dry
so sole souls sip spirits to soar it up and high!

Into the Sky She Soars

Into the sky she soars with wings wide open
with innocence of mind, heart, and soul
Through the clouds and through eternity
she flies, to meet the one who gave us
resurrection and life..

       the hawk

raptor sometimes called
black death or stealthy fighter
hawk owns names proudly

hawk soars above clouds
then dives fearlessly toward prey
clever is the hawk

In Poetic Soars

Not I am in the navel of poem
No wave of words floats me
On the strong wings of albatross
All over of thoughts, I seek integrity

No chaotic juice of madness
I do not need to confess
In less of everything, at least
In poetic soars, I feel best

Premium Member Opens Its Wings and Soars

white in the sky, a dove, angelic sight

a flight through every moment of daylight

light drizzle of rain brought it to alight

safe in the site of limbs, descending right

into the calm night ; spread its wings delight

flew right to the top again at sunlight

A Soaring Day

This day soars, refreshingly
Floating in umber modesty
Mewling boisterously, in jollity
While, harvest colors blink
Tragically in shades of pink
Afternoon progresses in happiness
From there on, the evening moon
Shines in bright, yellow incandesce
As nightfall settles over sky festoon

Premium Member Body Ails Yet Spirit Soars

body ails and breaks down
yet Spirit sores and uplifts
life is stopped by age

yet Spirit still sores
hands of time wither on by
spirit takes on flight

body stiff so
spirit has no age limit
minds still sharp as whip

old bones rest for while
mind and body together
keep going in life

Even a Sparrow Soars

Even a sparrow soars
As its tiny soul
Climbs to great heights

Have you seen it?
Wings flat against the body
Brown bullet
Aerodynamically
Slicing through the air

Covering distances
In a twinkling
That we lumbering humans
Take minutes to travel

Surely it can reach heaven
More easily than we

Premium Member Black Hawk Soars High

black hawk soars high
cardinal comes to feed
black hawk joined by mate
blue jay takes turn

I envy them
none must clean out garagae
jealousy reigns
they don’t buy groceries

squirrel takes off
leaps and twirls
acrobatic
genius

none of them wash clothes
feathers and fur
that’s the difference
I plot my next life

Premium Member My Spirit Soars

one vibrant
soul soars
you tease
 my heart
as with wings
it flutters

flying high
my spirit
searching
for you
my promised land
far off
in the distance

hovering over you
looking down
a beautiful sight
as i slowly descend
landing beside you
my soul rests
with you

my soul mate
heaven has
a new meaning
heavenly
in you

Premium Member My Heart Soars

Clouds like sand ripples 'pon the beach
Only their color dark
Almost black, whispy clouds of white
Cobalt blue clouds make mark

Rising sun makes some glow with light
Slits in the clouds show red
Soon the sun will be up and warm
The beauty of morn fled

Thank you Lord for another day
Abundant blessings pour
Whether in showers, sun or storm
Your Love makes my heart soar

Soars

the spirit does soar, left the feet on the ground, the passion ensures, faith has been found, though we dwell in the flesh by the shore, ole spirit does o-pen the door, spirit it lasts evermore, from body 2 body allowed, wriggle 2 shrug off the shroud, death rattle the obvious score, come again as before and before... depend....don't deplore...nevermore, he he haw...Don Johnson ,

Premium Member BLAZING SUN BRIGHT SHINE IN LIONS HAZING GIRAFFES SOARS GRAZING-

For this you see I'm falling asleep; On these the golden fields; Beneath the sun above the clouds; Silent rises beset noise; Congregational life praise hands loud; Dawning glories burdens poise; Shouts of jubilee roars; Like a lion on his prowl; Nursing timid giraffes soars; Leap forth over gall they scowl; ==Jungle path nature grazing Sun bright shine in lions hazing--

Premium Member My kindred Spirit Soars

My kindred spirit soars in search of you
above the clouds it roams amongst the blue.

Or dives beneath the oceans darkest night
before it surges forth again in flight.

Connecting with another brings a new
beginning of a friendship that is true.

Like-minds that understand the words I write
our vision for each other kept in sight.

Our spirit's bound together mine and yours
in prose or verse my kindred spirit soars.

Premium Member Body Ails Yet Spirit Soars

Body ails, yet spirit soars to see
Mother Nature’s beauty that surrounds
us all. I feel thankful just to be
in a place where nature’s spell abounds.

Yes, a magic spell I am under -
as I view many mountains everywhere.
At trees ablaze I gaze in wonder
in the freshness of the autumn air.

Though in pain, I must show gratitude
for friends, family and the outdoors.
Positive will be my attitude.
Yes, body ails, yet spirit soars.

As the Plane Soars High

As The Plane Soars High
E-arly Friday comes out,
D-ecember thirtieth day;
W-hite clouds up above
A-re replacing the gray.
R-ise of the sun begins, after the Thursday twilight;
D-awn has just broken, leaving the dark of night.

D-ust in the open air
I-s nowhere to be found;
M-ist, haze, and fog
A-re buried in the ground.
I-t's a wonderful birthday, beneath the blue sky;
N-ew morn meets the breeze, as the plane soars high.

Premium Member Why I Should Win

I nailed this contest with a poem that has punctuation
for ease of read rather than confusing line implications.
I composed a free verse feeling rush that soars with
heart sentiment grounds that I tweaked until profound.

Do check out my ew-la-la imagery, subtle flippancy,
smooth flow that ideally rolls to tighter grab as it goes.
My write ignites awe to wiggly with words brilliantly
alert, not unclear bit blurts, possibly boredom fraught.
