Stop to smell the roses
we'll make the most of each day
~ there's splendour where we walk

Aroma

There are times when
I stop to smell the roses;
I wonder:
Do the roses ever stop
to smell me?
Maybe I should stand back
just a bit further.

Bee Careful

Stop and smell the roses
but be careful
for you may get stung.
For those bees
are not known for their taste
so you could be the unlucky one.

Whatever Makes You Happy

smell the roses once in a while
fall in love a couple of times
live your life with generosity
never lose your awe
find your true North Star
be as brave as the Lion
paint, write, sing,
do whatever makes you happy

Premium Member Vibrant emptiness

Performing our role
Bereft of desire
Distanced from outcomes
We leave it to God
To do as He will

Life is a dream
Let’s then relax
Frolic carefree
Smell the roses

Breath by breath
We behold
Play of life

We dwell
In the

Void

Premium Member Zen mode

consciousness spontaneous
moves about in life as it likes
pausing but to smell the roses
whenever bliss within heart spikes

neither attached nor detached
no ego and hence no appraisal
presence frolics in the void carefree
its childlike demeanour playful

All is forgiven
Let us now embrace
With carefree spirit
This moment the all
Love pulsates within

Come let us play
Smell the roses
Caress the breeze
Live vibrantly

Feel the throb
Bliss within
Beckons us

Gently
Outpour

Believe

Listen to birds singing
Watch the sun rise
Feel the rain fall
Let the wind blow
Take time to smell the roses
Eat good food
Watch people in love
Take time to sit and think
Look up at the night sky
Forgive others and yourself
Look for the good
Do good deeds

My Tickle Me Pink Poem - Written With My Pink Pen

I think I'll write a pink poem,
To make you smile,
Because pink poems say
I love you in all the languages
Of the world!
Take my hand,
Take my heart,
Share my laughter,
Listen to the music...
And don't just smell the roses,
Plant new ones and think of me.

Roses -Kimo-

At the park, down the street from where I live many rose bushes grow there I stop to smell them. Copyright © Cynthia Jones Jan.21/2013  I can't wait for Spring and Summer to come around. I love walking down to the park to take in the sunsets and smell the roses.

I'Ll Still Smell the Roses

i'll still smell the roses
so precious and sweet
the scented pine needles
as they hang from the trees

i'll still hear the lonely hounds
at night as they bay
see the sky far above me
be it blue or at times gray

then someone someday
will mention your name
and i'll feel regret in my veins
for in my heart your love remains

The Five Senses of (My) Love.

the secret to (my) a happy marriage is the five sense ....of love.

to see forever in her eyes

to taste always in her kiss

to fill every thing in her arms

to hear love in her heart beat

to smell the roses in the garden of (our)love

we all have these senses but seldom do we use them
to find love (as I have ) find your senses .

Premium Member Breathe

When uptight....breathe!
Relieves tension.

Lie down,,close your eyes.
Breathe in slowly and fully.
Think..."Smell the roses!"
Fill lungs completely,

When breathing out, think..
"Blow out the candles!"
Let air out of your lungs,
Slowly..repeat and relax.

Hope this helps someone.
It does me...

Love,

Promise of a Rose

A moment of promise comes to those who take time to stop and smell the roses Heard is this old phrase once or twice, but still a promising thought Petals fragrant and soft of pure hues delights those who pursue its delicate form The rose is full of romance for many lovers for its beauty shall flourish - until it dies

New Year

20161204
Madly rushing to end the year
All activities running in the 5th gear
Calls to stop and smell the roses can't hear
Desperately reaching for the new year

A new year, a new start, fresh resolutions
As if a new year will turn your intentions to actions
As if a new year will change your situations
Forgetting last year and its resolutions

Premium Member On My Knee - CM

Write my story, in rhymes and prayers
Light of joy, in the skies, quiet tears
Praise in colors of laughter, sincere hope
Ways of a spirit who knows how to cope

Tell the world about this love that grows
Smell the roses, where faith surely knows
Rains of the autumn rest on those who see
Pains are erased by love when I fall to my knee

Smell the roses

When you’re in an awful hurry and haven’t time to spare
And everything’s a worry you’re rushing here and there
While all the jobs are piling up, there’s dishes in the sink
You haven’t time to wash a cup, you haven’t time to think
Stop... and smell the roses, that well worn old cliché
For sure as little apples, tomorrow is another day.

I HUNG THESE CURTAINS,

I LIVED HERE ONCE,

I'M CERTAIN,

THE FLOORS WERE WAXED,

THE DISHES SHINED,

I RESIDED HERE,

HAPPILY,

FOR QUITE SOME TIME.

MY SOUL SLEEPS UNDER THE WINDOW'S PANE,

THE SINK CALLING ME,

AT SUPPER TIME,

I STILL SMELL THE ROSES,

I PLANTED OUTSIDE,

LORD,

JUST PLEASE,

LET IT RAIN,

JUST NOT INSIDE.

I Felt So Beautiful

I remember a time
When i had nothing but time
Everything was fine
I could smell the roses
Instead of the thoughts of what imposes
I used to look at the stars and wonder
A striking feeling like thunder
I had hope in love so so curious
So young and naive
I thought i could truly believe
The music hit my soul
A burning spirit emit my role
I felt so beautiful

Before the End of Night

Leave it hanging in the stars leave it round the bend
sometimes forgetfulness can be a real God send

Entrust it to the moon above to an ocean full of Grace
velvet memories, regrets, evaporate without a trace

Live in knowledge it is safe you can trust the light ,
relegate confide in Hope, before the end of night.

STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES SERIES

Stop For a Moment

God gave us the ability
To experience, the delicate sides of this earth
But often, we don't allow ourselves
To fully appreciate, what it's worth
Especially in the small things
With our human minds
We emotionally blind ourselves
To things, we can see
We often pass up rainbows
A spring shower
A sunset, or even, just a smile
Don 't hurry. Don't worry
Stop For a Moment
And smell the roses

Eyes on Miracles

Those withe eyes for small details,
Will see more whales,
Witness more miracles,
And be freed from their shackles.

Those with ears on the lookout for warning signs,
Will retain friendships,
Feel safe on ships,
And live to see more Miracles.

Those with inquisitive noses,
Will have more opportunities to smell the roses,
Taste home grown tomatoes,
And never question even the smallest of miracles.

Smell the Roses

If wishing to smell the roses
Don't let bees go up your noses
You’ll get buzzing on the brain
Enough to drive you quite insane.

The poor bee in panic and fear
Will try to escape right out your ear
Or major surgery will be required
Which will make you very tired.

So avoid the trouble and strife
And let a bee get on with its life
Whenever wishing to smell the roses
Don’t let bees go up your noses.
