Slippery Slide

Slippery slide

An indigent man from Calcutta
Would bathe once a week in some butter
A slippery mistake
He walked over a grate
And forever was lost down the gutter

Can Not Let It Slide

When their crossing lines, I wish that I
Could let it go, but no I can not let it slide
I hold grudges and let them eat me up inside
Then blow up and to me it's completely Justified

Run, Run, Run,

Or you are going to get a big surprise.

You may get soaked, but don't worry you'll dry off.

So be prepared to have some fun.

For today I am going to make all your worries just slide away

Like a water slide.

On the monkey bars,
riding that see saw;
Always wearing a
devil may care grin,
Life is a playground;

A game of tag
that person’s it;
Hide and go seek
in play at dark;

Laughter whirls
on swing sets
whimsical;

Wild turn
about …

slide!

Let It Slide

now who knows
what to say
when things are wrong
and bent that way
now who knows
what we can
do
to right that wrong
can we think this through?
What happened here
that we're all so sad
so unhappy
so damn mad
lets make s'mores
and eat outside
let it slide.

Premium Member you will let anyone on the slide

deer bounded over the fence and slid down the slide
graceful in one huge leap – almost a glide
my dogs are barking disapprovingly
deer runs back up the slide coughing gleefully
you’ll let anyone on the slide says my husband Jim
This is cause for war, so now I won’t let him.

I let my voice resonate
"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!"
Music....soothing
so softly
feathers caressing me
like notes on a keyboard
I soar high
"Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!"
strumming me
sweetly I glide
from side to side
as my ears move my feet
"Pa da pa pa paaa!!!"
delicate words
needed to be heard
"Hmmmmmm....."

Public Water Slide

Aqua concrete,
With skinned knees,
And that Alderman
Fat and
Inconspicuus,
Until mother
Filmed him.

The water slide,
Slick and Fun,
but not after
I sprouted
Pubic hair.

And then,
in winter, the
frozen air
Tempted me
To fornicate
In that very
same place.

I pray for
An earthquake,
To shatter and
Dismantle this
Deception

Premium Member Slip, Slide, Away

Listen to poem:
I let it slip away.
I held the hand for
as long as I could.
Too weak to draw the
dangling body up.
The hand became limp
and cold, lifeless,
clammy in my fingers.
The head below was hanging
down impervious to
my warm tears streaming
down from my face.
What more could I do?
Exhausted, hopeless, done
I let it slip, slide, away.

Slide Show

A slide show in my mind
Doing time with memories

Everything that has made me has a slide

The good, the bad, the insanely mad
The gained, the lost
All embossed

The pain, the rain
The sun, the fun

Left alone to watch the show
Where it will go, I just don't know

When the show is done
All slides complete
Only then can I rest my feet

Half-Cocked

As cock of the walk and feeling cocky I cocked a snook or two derisive snorts more than cheeky with a cock-a-doodle-doo at her cock-a-leekie and when she cocked an eye at me on the moment's spur I first cocked my hat then cocked an eye at her on a slippery slope downhill slide absurd it was because we were now both cockeyed

Premium Member like the ocean

love is always loving you
she says
like the ocean loves the waves

but the road to your heart
is rough a/f
not for the faint of...

it's dangerous
not many would dare

so many beautiful places
blocked by so many
rock slides

is it too much work
to clear the way

or easier
not to feel

love is always loving you
she says
like the ocean loves the waves

Electric Slide

on a wooden floor
between heaven and earth
doin the electric slide
givin it all we're worth

steel guitars and country twang
cowboy hats and a longneck night
boots sliding smooth or tapping in time
cowgirls step high and right in line

dancing late in the moon's light
no work tomorrow, it's Saturday night
come on baby, just one more dance
cowboy up, let's do another

The Tears Slide Down

Like two strangers
in the night.
Lying awake,
with sleep being
elusive.
Her tears,
slide silently down
her face,
upon her pillow.
Her heart, breaking,
as if, he ripped it into.
Like two strangers,
going separate ways,
with no time,
spent together.
He must think, she’s blind,
to his deception,
and sneaking around.
To her, it’s quite clear,
as her tears, again
slide down.

The elder brother is speaking now...
We are born from each others crib
I speak not from a lack of faith
But from a farther, fallen freedom
Where once we were
And remain even now...

Say you own a stag
Say you've got reason to lag
Now bend that reason
And slide off the world
Stay here with me
Make my love your love
With all hearts
Retreating and Retrieving.
Let love-go. Love-go. Love-go.

Rock Slide

this is a time to speak
yet
no one wants to talk
i love the new news
coversation
i nearly forgot
the earth

while i was getting
my rocks
off

so give me lung room
so give you throat room

lick my catastrophe
run my o2
out of o2

rocks off

do you lov e me?

does it spell out a headline
that speaks volumes

allright big ... big

no one knows
that the whole thing

resembles

nothing

but a rock slide
of the brain

Premium Member Zippily

Listen to poem:
Zippily, zippity, I slip down
the slippery dip slide.
Zippity-doo-dah, slippily-dippity-do!
Suddenly and nippily, tipping
backwards to quicken the pace.
Snappily, I whippingly
swish right off the end of the slide.
I launch into space,
Fly high in the air, arms wildly flaying
like a rocket man on steroids, screaming.
I land with an awfully
painful jolt, snap and thump.
Woefully my aplomb undone,
not so spryly or lightly,
right on my backside.
