A Shadow Stretches

The way a shadow stretches,
When sunlight shudders down,
Can make the horns of a devil
Look like the sporks of a crown.

Premium Member Sweet But Psycho

Sweet but psycho,
drawn into the curve of that smile;
Oh those shudders,
dancing in fiery red high tops;
Still, her sign read ‘Haunted House.’

Winter Watch

Winter Watch

lonely fence post shudders in glittering
shroud beneath an artful gaze...
dueling owl and mouse

  	City of Big Shudders
           Once known for Big Shoulders

         Powerful barge lost her rudder
           Withered… stooped… inexorably older

Untitled #154 / "she's My Best Friend's Girl"

“She’s my best friend’s girl
and she used to be mine”
Good lord! Ooh, my soul shudders!
It’s a fate worse than my own!
Much better to lose what I never had
to a stranger!

Sparkling

how about
the sparkling centerpiece
of a twinkling day
winking at me
through eyes unseen
   but felt
warmly, on my bare shoulder
heaven shudders
      and so does my body

Left Behind

dont forget me

she bites back the words
watching
silent
left behind again
she grips her arms and shudders
a lonely spike drives through her middle
an icy reminder
of truth

Advocates Of A Busy Philosophy

To stop twould make but active
Those quiets, this emptiness
Does amplify:
'I am nothing!'

Shudders, the worst, naturally
Of the panic-struck bring on.
Confronted by
Its head-ringing.

Hunger

Starvation is rendered flabbergasted
when in tinge
with a touch of reality,
retaliating
upon the mention
of thee who shudders
in a chair
positioned so high
only the clouds could reach it.

Premium Member too little too late

the pulse of humanity
shudders in throbbing pain
meanwhile muffled cries of hopelessness
await redemption as tears of time
may possibly wash away
man's devastation

One empty black night, Two yowls shrieked through the night air; Three minute cat fight. One shudders at the dying plea of beasts; Two injured cats is bad; glad it’s not three!

Winter Rose

In March I asked the daffodil
What secrets it might hold
And like the loose-lipped lily
The flower gladly told

Now December’s icy breath
Shudders the shriveled rose
And I do not dare to ask it
For fear of what it knows.

I Want To Love You

I wish to love you
beyond your blouse
that protects your skin ...
Beyond bras
who shapes yours
superb round breasts ...
Beyond your skirt
that protects your
enchanted treasures ...
Beyond the body
where your heart
shudders

Premium Member Sight For Soar Eyes

the snow falls heavy on wet grounds
it's sight brings sad eyes
to those who want spring
it's cold bitterness nips at every nose
and shudders those who find it blinding
snow in Ohio is a bad four letter word
followed by rain and hail

Linger

Tingling
my spine moves slowly with each sound
"Ssshhh!!!"
you speak
again my spine quivers...shudders even

which is it?
A running horse or walking fingers?
I care not!!!
slipping into an abyss of...
well!
Coyly I smile.
Who's first?....sigh!!!

Premium Member Keeping Him On His Toes

You are sliding a slippery slope
I tell my darling prince
He shudders, not knowing what he has done
to incur my wrath
I am not about to tell him either
The guessing is what keeps him on his toes
and possibly keeps him solicitous
keeping the marriage alive.

Premium Member Under the Radar

Beneath the dark blue veil
Of a moonless midnight
Under the radar
Without a bleep

A camouflaged whisper
Mystifies and mortifies
In a most roundabout
Conniving way

A shiver shudders
A murderous mystery
Not leaving a hint or clue

Premium Member Feather

Beauty held her
      Light soft feather
Brushing his nipple so
It was as if a million
      Shudders flooded
His skin a crimson glow
Tethered hands gagged mouth
      No stifling his moan
The feather crept lower
Teasing ever lightly
      A will of its' own.

Speaking

SOME PEOPLE HAVE A WAY WITH WORDS, IT SEEMS
I ONLY SPEAK FREELY AND ELEQUENTLY IN DREAMS
IN A GROUP MY VOICE OFTEN STUMBLES AND FALLS
WHAT WAS MEANINGFUL A MOMENT AGO SHUDDERS AND STALLS
TRY STILL I DO, AND AGAIN TO EXPRESS
THOUGH SELDOM DO MY WORDS SATISFY ME, I CONFESS
Form:

Dreams of a Boom

Dreams of a boom
shudders the heart
The wild crack of opportunity
where to appear
seamlessly not welcome here

Spent most of my days in a caravan
When it pours it never stops
A trouble cured
for a drowning man
Like a distant dream
His shirt is white
but he walks on stilts

Apocalyptic Visions

Earths red crust shudders
Skyline crackles purple forks
Famine feet flurry

My willow tree scorched
Lunar eclipse eternal
Barefoot beach walk dream

Volcanic ash views
A black season treelines crunch
Whimpered solo bark

Stagnant water tea
Pungent roots and herbs galore
Humanless abyss
