(Welcoming Spring)
Clear ribbons of icicles, now melting;
Shed as refreshing teardrops,
From the old oak trees limbs
Memories are stepping stones
As we journey through the dark.
Shedding light on our journey home
To rekindle with the past.
big bold leaves falling
sycamore is shedding fast
paper white trunk stark

Caterpillar
Plump, green
Eating, weaving, sleeping
Inside of the cocoon
Shedding, growing, changing
Graceful beauty
Butterfly
Form:
Wind, I thought of you, again
I brought you
This basket of hope
Shedding the gray
From the gold
I know
This is
Young autumn
my snake spirit guide
represents transformation
signifies a change
shedding old patterns
embracing new beginnings
deep intuition
Brake out
From your cocoon
The moon
Must shed
Her skin
From this
Fat green caterpillar
To this smooth
Brown maple-leaf
Butterfly
Autumn
shedding leaves.
Golden fair skies,
sweet lushes' bright green grass-
pour down.

Let not this darkness behind you
Your present joy o'ershadow.
Fair Earth, in its morn's glow, shedding
Its own haunted state's fogged clue.
As a butterfly fluttering its wings,
grew our friendship, so delicate and tender...
Now it stands illuminated, shedding light
beyond yonder...
A bright Jack-O-Lantern lamp
Sits in my autumn hallway
Shows my love of Halloween
While shedding great light
Russell Sivey
There goes my baby
Strolling the long way home
Light of my life song
Shedding Sunday now
Kicking remnants down the slope
Waiting for Monday
november is a weeping lady
shedding her dried brown tears
all over my lawn
she grieves for Life
so that after a time of rest
all can be reborn
the trees are yawning,
carelessly shedding their clothes
for sweet winter sleep
like spoiled children who know well
daddy will clean up their mess
When we will see a weeping willow;
Softly shedding tears on our pillow;
Now and then;
Again and again;
Sorrow in sails did billow and billow.
Jim Horn
Long legged Lance
Began to dance
Shedding his purple pants
Ladies screamed from all around
As Lance's pants hit the ground
Ant's Lance cried with resound
a weeping willow
never really shedding tears
nature's umbrella
branches trailing to the ground
green leaves sparkling in the wind
a hex slams the decks
in cosmic fashion
aloof, shedding proof
of boundless passion
covert to pervert
virtue left ashen;
once fed every thread
begs for compassion.
Took a dosage of music.
Now shedding tears as my chest gently tightens.
Not enough to end me.
But just right amount to make me feel so numb.
We’re not aging
we’re saging
higher we rise
becoming wise
shedding the old
so I’m told
cleansing the soul
taking control
becoming more Zen
to that Amen.
Income tax season
Is no reason
For utter despair
Pulling your hair
Shedding a tear
Out of fear
You’ll be broke --
Like most folk!

Branches shedding leaves,
Undressing before the wind.
Nature's burlesque show.
All modesty forgotten,
Leaves on the ground like garments.
to boil and to stew
is a fine way to view,
all the shedding skin
she holds up to show,
that she is changing
yes - rearranging,
as does a leopard
no - no - NO!
Do you think
words absolve the guilt
to no more
than a change of clothes
a shedding
of old skin?
A show of remorse
and when the last chance
is shot
ask
why me?
trees burnished in gold
shedding leaves drop overhead~
birds squawk beeline south
