He’s Irish not Scottish or British
You forget, he’ll get ornery and skittish
He’ll point to his pelt

With a splash of some Gaelic and Yiddish...

Dog
In calm waters as well as in strife, there are moments in everyone's life when a dog treats you better — from a pug to a setter — than your children, your friends or your wife.

Better Late Than Never

Better late than never,
But never late is better;
Complete the endeavour,
Be punctual, go-getter;

We try to be clever,
Late, but do to the letter,
Remember however
To be on time, trend-setter.

You-Re the Setter No One Else
Don't be angry and drowned in sad
Cos no one meant to be led
Find your path and grip your grid
Cos everyone meant to LEAD

Don't be happy yet satisfied
You haven't done well if it just 'alright'
Be the best for yourself
You're the SETTER no one else!...

Better In a Letter
It is better,
In a letter,
To your mind unfetter:
Your claims of being a pace-setter,
And a neglected go-getter.

Better in a letter,
Your tears make wetter,
A former switch with a latter,
The slimmer present as the fatter;

Better in a letter,
To disclose that one is a waiter,
And to another his hater:
Better in a letter....

Will Take Aim Horn Haiku
Will Take Aim Horn Haiku

When we will take aim,
You always receive the blame;
Much more of the same.

Are one of the few,
Who I surely will love you,
And always so true.

Poems may be putrid,
But each one of them I did;
Wish someone had hid.

Next time be better;
Think she was an Irish Setter;
Go on floor let her.

Full Moon Night
Her blind date had arrived right on cue,
her jeans as tight as a cocoon,
stepped into the night,
"ripped" noise what a fright,
exposing her hefty full moon.

Thank God she had brought a sweater,
tied round waist she felt a little better,
till dog came around,
pulled sweater on down,
full mooned ran after the irish setter.

The Headers Collect
Miles far from,
The ticketing toll,
Unmentioned to some,
Lingering soul,
Pushing on,
The roads are made,
The breaking dawn,
Streaks vaguely fade,
Posted in place,
Thriving success,
Becoming a face,
Cleaning up the mess.
People rise,
Creatures scatter,
Tongues of cries,
Memories of laughter,
Dismantled letter,
Ripple effect,
Faults setter,
The headers collect....

Premium Member Those Red Suede Boots
Those red suede boots came splashing in
With the pride of elephants, dangling fringe
I got out of the way, my mouth to my chin
Others were terrified, some did a cringe.

Nancy Sinatra could not have done any better.
Those boots were prancing up like an Irish setter.
I backed up toward the wall, and let them pass by.
Too terrified to squeak out the teensiest “hi”....

(to a blues riff)

You're a blood red girl
You're a blood red girl
You're a blood red girl, you're a woodshed girl,
You're a good good girl.

You're a good good girl
You're a good good girl
You're a blood red girl, you're a woodshed girl
You're a good good girl.

You're a bloodshed girl
You're a bloodshed girl
You're a spit-curl girl, roller derby girl
You're a good good girl....

What Usually Follow
When we don’t a lunatic fetter,
Sanity does not look quite better;
When A Sluggard is The Pace Setter,
Things begin to happen much later:
An Aquarian Chosen Go-getter,
A lot tend to be rather wetter;
Everyone A Well-Trained Sharp Shooter
Exchange of Gunfire The Redder;
One deciding to be A Looter
Many Shaky Accounts The Redder …

I’ve told you what usually follow
And why my laughs are sometimes hollow....

Fake
trust has become so rare...
people around us realy don't care...
reality is a total nightmare...
sad that hearts doesn't have a spare....

why is everybody so fake?...
hurting has become a piece of cake....
broken hearts are something nobody can
make...
people,stop it for God's sake!...

truth tastes soo bitter...
lies are the new trend setter...
feelings doesn't matter...
in pieces our hearts shatter......

Hot Hot Wet
I'm not a fan of fanning weather
humid heat sweats my feet
I'm not a man that fans the sweater
frosty ice I shiver creak
the sun's too hot the snow's too cold
moaning like this I must be old
but I’m just young and miserable
a head of hair not going bald
a face you want to kiss and pull
or flat reject so I've been told
I only moan about the weather
never moan my life get better
I just can't wait for the sun to setter
who likes armpits forever wetter....

TWILIGHT

She creeps across the fading sunset
darkness stalking in shadow
following the whims of time

blowing out the flickering candles
closing the windows on a silenced day.
She is less feared, more subtle,

than Death’s slashing scythe.
Stealth is her game, secrecy her strength,
table setter for the final curtain call,

her cool shivering chill the first -
and last - hint of her presence
as she creeps across the fading sunset.

Premium Member Don't follow lead
As you walk through life don't follow the trend
Become the trend setter.

Don't follow the well trodden path that other
Have followed.

Make your own path and push aside all the obstacles
That block your way.

Become you and remain you keep your unique
Identity.

Stand out don't get sucked in to the normal.

Become the person you want to be
Not what others say you should be.

Don't be a student in life be the master
Of your own life.

From Father
What one would at last gather
From listening to father:
Certain things go together;
The valiant and go-getter,
A genius and pace setter,
The heart and a pace maker,
Leather,gums and shoemaker,
An entrance and gatekeeper,
Attacker and goalkeeper...

You just have to be super
To join French Paratrooper,
From head to toe vigorous
To contain The Rigorous...

You don't meet night marauders
Obeying patrol orders:
Never assign mysterious
To the ever boisterous....

Premium Member Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet loved her curds and whey,
give me a box of cereal with cold milk and I will be on my way.
Along came a spider,
I bet they did not bring a glass of cider.
Little Miss Muffet should pick her friends better,
how about getting an English Setter.
Be careful who your friends are,
or you will not go very far.
