Who's the greatest god of all?
Need to have some self-control
Or else you're sunk in a hole!

Self Control

Self control
When a man lacks
Self control
He lacks
Self pride

So start from here
If you ever think of
Change.
Form: Epic

X Her Sighs

When moonlight soothes a poet's soul
Who thinks about cholesterol?
A tasty treat
Just can't be beat
For exercising self-control!
Form: Limerick

My Quote

"Subtlety implying that ones self control is not for sale,
when instigated to react poorly,
unveils true noteworthy character and grace."
Form: Verse

Alcoholism

Alcoholism, the pariah
feeding on the collapse
of self-control
befuddling the brain's sensibility;
transforming intelligence
into ridicule.

Had little or no self-control
She flew off to France
Where she split her pants

Inviting Sadness: Don'T Do It Without Divinehelp

I
We invite sadness when bad news shows up
It is the polite thing to do
Unless you have divine help, guard up!
Yes, variety is good. Upbeat is boring good

Paris Good Soul

Paris is not an abstraction
Paris is more than my tea
Paris is now one theory
where I hold back my cry
because its heaven is not me
just a self-control
good soul

From fast food Trump chooses to eat
Congestive heart failure’s his treat
We’ll wince as this slob
Grows more like the blob
With gross swollen ankles and feet
Form: Limerick

Heavy Going

RoseAnn Malone resolved to lose weight.
She made a list of foods to forsake.
She did well 'till week four
eating more than before.
Airlines had to bill her at the freight rate.

Frosted Flakes Tony Says They'Re Great

Do you know the self-control that it takes,
To only eat one bowl of Frosted Flakes?
To eat the box is my goal,
So I’ll use a mixing bowl,
And pour on the milk like it comes in lakes.

The Burden of Lust

Lust?
For what?
Emotions that will go away once they
Are fulfilled
You honestly must
 fulfill it, I think not
You can overcome the rush
With some self control it isn't that much

ONE Only New Years Goal for 2025

Abolishing irritable moods
Unpleasant manic episodes.
Important of self-control;
Insomnia weeping,
Yelling at loved ones.
Just to de-stress
by praying
Calming
Grace

His fin is at play in my soup... Afraid!
He’ll nibble my fingers and bod with blade!
Ordered the big bowl —
I’ve no self-control.
The waiter will consider check unpaid.

Rinse and Repeat

My mind is politically correct,
but my shoes have no soul.
I have gained some retrospect,
after losing self control.

I’m washing my brain.
A clean slate is what I need.
Reprogramming my frame,
rinse and repeat.
Form: Rhyme

Fatherly Haikus

Courage is action
When terror strangles your heart
You act anyways

Violence subdued, men
Become peaceful, not harmless
Peace is self control.

Love exists only
When acted upon in pain
Love's not without grief.
Form: Haiku

Discipline

I go to the conference,
she explains, no self-discipline,
no self control, just lazy
an F student

I agree, he has none
but neither do i,
no one taught me,
so how do i teach him?

"I guess we are losers"
She is angry

Premium Member Envy

Encountering attributes and items beyond possessing
Nurtures a feeling of wishes and contempt in
Variable degrees, dependent on self control; but it’s a
Yummy ingredient to bad character and a dark soul

Premium Member Self Control

Self control, God knows, is difficult at best… Especially when rebellious is the self possessed. I've put myself in corners, I'll be grounded till pigs have wings I can't even tell myself what to do, it seems.

Blessings

Food to eat
A healthy body

Fruits of the Spirit
Love, joy, patience, self-control, etc.

Intelligence
Able to learn

Power over sin
God as my guide to life

Friends
Not afraid to speak my mind

Have help sometimes
Able to give help

Twisted Insane

Walls of torture of inside pain.
Dragging on memories seems to never, go away.

Self control inside sanity.
Pull the pin I will explode gravity.

Scared that my life will not ever be the same.
Been pushed too many times I have twisted insane.

Premium Member Laughter

sometimes when I'm wiggling
I get carried away and lose my self-control
start giggling

it is my style
to bring laughter as I cajole
a smile

there's worth
found in a soul
mirth

sometimes when I'm wiggling
to bring laughter as I cajole
mirth

Premium Member Np - Horns

They were originally installed to scare livestock off of the road,
but now they're used simply because people don't have any self control.
If I had my way I'd remove every horn from every automobile.
They now only add to the noise pollution that none of us need to hear.
