Whenever I see red roses, they remind me of you and the love we once shared.
You gave me a single rose daily, to show me how much you cared.

You used to buy me a bunch of buttercups, whenever I needed cheering up.
Then for a while it was lilies of the Nile.  Once you surprised me with blue tulips and I gently kissed your lips.

In my minds’ eye, I see a fruit rainbow, 
Seven colors of wonderment strategically placed in a row!

I see red apples, orange mangos, yellow bananas, to name a few,
Green grapes, blue-berries, indigo plums and violet boysenberries too!
