Forest of Flame In Spring
The sun has torched you flaming red
A blooming of spring canopies spread
From a mile away I see red tree heads
Her red hot fringe teases the wind
She sways in tune marching lines ahead
And falls gently kissing this earthy bed
Street-long heavy-hung red pollen she spreads
Her fragrance follows this beauty in red
Passion awakens
With slow gentle rain kisses
Flaming red within.
