I wanted a double scoop
of chocolate ice-cream but was doop
Twas as small as my thumb
It made me look dumb
For getting caught in the loop

i feel for yesterday's blooms
already withering
already past their prime
their innocence consumed
their beauty fading in the night
depleted with the passage of time
their message scattered to the breeze
how i resonate and feel for them
here for a moment then gone

One scoop or two?
I've got all flavors for you
Step into my parlor
I'll make all your dreams come true
If chocolate is your desire
I'll give you a double dollop
And if it's more you require
I'll take your taste buds higher
My vanilla will make you scream with delight
I'll give it to you all night
And I just wont stop
You'll be my cherry on the top
Waiting for ice cream
And looking around,
All versions of people
Are there to be found:
The old and the toddlers,
The skinny and fat,
The bald and the bearded,
The full-bodied tat;
The neat and the slobby ,
The antsy and calm,
Each there for the ice cream,
A sticky day balm.
I doubt we’d be sharing
Political views,
But united deciding
Which flavor to choose.
