Supernatural FIRE poetrix

        when i'm penetrated randomly
             by magic fire of creation
             I neither burn nor scald...

Premium Member Hubby's Haircut
Today, Hubby came home with a shaved head
At first, I thought a stranger I'd bed!
The reason he's bald
Our heat wave does scald
At least it's better than locks dredg'd!...

Premium Member Both Ways
I can feel your flames
feasting on me in the dark;
Your kisses they scald my neck
your name alone winds me up;
Take me and do what you like,
I have lost my voice;
Just remember, that goes both ways....

Love In Ashes
A distant scream,
the future cries,
our past to burn
unclaimed

Predictions simmer,
forecasts stir,
denials rage
enflamed

All promise broken,
hearts on fire,
reasons singed with
pain

With love in ashes,
hope to scald,
and freedom left
—in shame

(Dreamsleep: October, 2019)...

An Open Current
These lines will form an gaping wall.
A lovers knock could make it fall,
Could make my racy skin crawl,
And force my lipid tongue to scald.
I'll let the lines drift slowly apart
To break the dam surrounding my heart.
To watch him lethargically graze in the night.
To watch his expression when I do not fight....

Premium Member Climate Change
blackened sun, miniaturized pencil-point, glued
to an expanse where pillow-clouds once lay in repose
caftaned, toothless droids on broomsticks whiz by, cackling

anvil-hot, clay-red rains scald cracked turf, vapor rising up
where phantasmagoric ice-pellet fireworks burst in the night

~ darkness and death descend -- the final curtain...

The Devil's Teapot
The Devil’s Teapot
—a witches brew

Remembrance poured
  in sorrows true

The Devil’s Teapot
  bone china cracked

New leaks a bane
  in virtue lacks

The Devil’s Teapot
  it fills once more

With pain now forked
  to stir rancor

The Devil’s Teapot
  whose lid seals tight

To curse and scald
  —this endless night

Fashion
Alligators bleed a passing style.
Shot birds freeze in a look of disbelief.
Leopards fall in wraps and cooling guts.
Snap and clack of traps grind mental teeth
In living bone. Flash and zing of wire
Scald ruts in moving flesh.
Whoosh of nets and sudden crack of guns
Hold down the gelatin that was an eye--
And heaps of trinket feathers and trunkless hides
Are lain on altars for a current god....

Foryou
Icarus. Flying too close to the sun.
You and I
Beneath the snow of ash you grab my hand,
We kiss. Lips taste of mist.
In the embrace
Our hair blankets gray, reeking of gasoline.

A naïve flame, a spark
It cannot touch us
We choose when, to calm the waters
When to ignite the flames, when to,
Put it to rest in favor of the waves

Pulling us down into the white, the maelstrom,
They still.
And our lips scald the others....

Silence Speaks
Dark grey are the skies,
Hot tears scald my eyes,

Emotions simmer underneath,
I stand gritting my angered teeth,

Grief hid in those unshed tears,
A bit more than unsaid fears,

Layer by layer fury is unsheathed,
Little by little my restlessness breathed,

Spoken words reveal their violent sharpness,
Unspoken words pierce through the silent darkness,

Silence has a language of its own,
It stifles me and chills every bone.

The Obscure Love
The cash and carry of love
Which summer doth requisite
When will thou birth me a dove?
Soon autumn will bid for hunt- 5
To gratify winter’s drudge
Oh! Far is the sight of spring
None can pacify better
For season flies without wings
And quick does it charm scald beauty
Of whose time shall be pleaded?	10
As vaguely summer doth leave
Crow beckons with a caw
The womb that is long barren
Whom for eon is not loved
And in earth’s hate it joy is lost 15
Quick drains life off it victim...

Prehistoric Sand
Incompetent fool
What do you think I am?
I am not just a simple grain of sand
Among millions of others

I am a grain of sand
That has its own story
I have been here
For thousands of years

I am meant to be acknowledged
I have history
Read my stories
Know my suffering

I have seen
The beginning and the end
What have you seen?
Nothing compared to what I have

So don’t just hold me in your hand
And throw me back down
I am one in many
But I can still scald your soles...

Premium Member A Lifetime Ago Just Yesterday
It was a lifetime ago...just yesterday, when rain fell softly upon my face. That spoke to me of younger years, with all my innocence thus encased. I could feel the rainbow...just out of reach, all the colors of moments passed. Where truths were lies and lies believed, countless grains in an hourglass. I can bear forth the torch...yet not burn the eyes, to scald away truth's stench and decay. Why can't we hold to the dreams of youth, that was a lifetime ago...just yesterday?
