It smelt like the bitter taste of brown honey

Stinging feeling that felt extremely pleasant

Something’s are worth looking at

only through a rose colored glasses

Broken Mirrors

Glass houses,
Rose colored glasses-
   All we hear
   All we say...
How do you see the world
     from my eyes to yours?
All steps...back and forth
     walking through doors...
Who's house,
   mine or yours?

Cherry Pit War Mines

I breathed in the scent of the sunsets,
Cherry pit war mines covering the street,
Rose colored petals dancing in the background,
The sun painting me pink,
Crickets symphony under the lights,
That Summer that never left me.

Through Rose Colored Glasses

Through rose colored glasses
I see your faults
Your lies
But I vowed it all
When I came to your bed
Even if the thorns scratch
The rose still offers me
Besides my pain
A sweet aroma
My love for you

Premium Member Yesterday

"Yesterday, seems so far away"
and so different from today
As we look in rose-colored mist
where memories fondly exist
Alas, the truth so often lies
Hidden deeply in clouded skies
Or, painted as a golden leaf
A somewhat truth in Bas Relief

Premium Member The Masses

The brainwashed masses,
Wearing rose-colored glasses,
And nonchalantly flashing passes,
Never realizing the hourglasses
Are running out of time.

Miasmic shadows
And dystopian blows
Are working to transpose
The masses' crystal rose
Into a thick unending slime.
Form: Rhyme

Premium Member The Mind Drifts

The mind drifts
  free-floats gaily
far, far from its moorings
  lighter-than-air

Associations stream
  in-and-out on
ribbons, wisps of lazy strings
  hanging from rose-colored kites

Dark forces loom
  yet undetected
thoughts breathlessly racing
  beyond our tenuous grasp

Pipe Dream

pipe dream
false hope
in a future
together
unrealistic
irrational
internalized
rose colored
clouds that
cover up the
truth of reality
there is no hope
for a future together
now
truly there was
never ever any
chance of a life
time together
it was all just a
fantasy
Form: Lyric

Premium Member The Path Taken

The moon lights a glorious glowing path before us
like a splayed yellow band stretched to the stars
where we walk and listen to the nightbird sing
and allow our hearts to be moved by its melody
we hold the hand that flames the embers of our soul
and enter a rose colored rapture that joins our hearts

Premium Member weeping rain

ROSE COLORED GLASSES

Everything crimson
Through my eyes everything red
Demons dancing in my head
Mars is blue Saturn red
Cut the body of an oyster it bleeds blue blood
Such an make believers' disaster
This is from mine imagination
It's what I see in my rose colored glasses

I Want To Feel

I want to feel
The warmth
The joy
The love
All things I’ve been denied
The desire to not only give affection
But to receive it in turn
I want to have something rosey
To change my ever stale grey world
I’m tired of looking from the outside in
But want to be the one being looked at
From grey to rose colored
I want to feel
