The Mind Drifts

The mind drifts
  free-floats gaily
far, far from its moorings
  lighter-than-air

Associations stream
  in-and-out on
ribbons, wisps of lazy strings
  hanging from rose-colored kites

Dark forces loom
  yet undetected
thoughts breathlessly racing
  beyond our tenuous grasp

Perhaps if I close my eyes for just a moment I can be right there with you. Ah heck who am I kidding I am a daydreamer from way back. My grasp always being a bit tenuous. Enjoyed. Thanks for your drifting mind.

I am ready for a long wonderful daydream and overdue; this missive reminds and coaxes me.

Hello Gershon … if your verse represents day dreaming then I am guilty - thanks Gershon - Lindsay
