These bruises come
Remnant of the dark age
To remind me that
Part of me is still
Caught in the game
To them be free

Sliver of snow remains
No longer pristine or pretty
Gray and gravely, gray-scale ugly
Dog rolls in it, loving the cold wetness
Crow caw synthesizer flight
enrapture blackest pit of night.
Rumble drum the saccharine fawn
cold craw stuck remnant
of omnivorous dawn.
May your pain erode you alike the touch of stagnation upon a rotting corpse- akin to a wilted rose stained with the stench of fear & longing.
Perhaps
The remnant
of the one celled amoeba
Still transcending the primordial ooze
Sucking sustenance from the
Oozing awakening
Of life
the pair stood together by a warm hearth
strong andirons of wrought steel
shared log, a charred remnant

Faded Presence
A weeping pillow
holds tightly to the remnant
scent of ecstasy,
inhaling faded presence
we console one another

A remnant of light
crackled in my solitude.
The disdain of departure
bare my soul...
an atrocious silence
accomplished his intent
by perennial shade
in our love!
Splintered hope shards,
despondently adrift in tear stream,
reflect the remnant rays of resurgence,
designs the last lattice of dream,
lacing the listless life.
submerged in blankness
helpless to escape bereavement
frail and broken, hollow eyed
hope is a remnant
the burden of countless tears
lines etched deeply in her face.
For but one more
taste of your love
i would come to you
straight away
I would shatter my existence
and crawl over
the remnant shards
I would show you the pain of love
I wake up in early morning, to the cool air outside
Slowly the sun rises, bringing warmth to the remnant of last night
The day unfolds a colorful blanket of beauty to see

Hands interlock
modifying and replacing times of needs and wants
when remnant remains of thoughts
containing scenes of you and me
are all I have left
lingering
under clear skies……..
Form:
drops of rain
dancing in the air
unseen
then falls on your
lips
untouched
a cold shower
remnant of a dream
sunlight in a dew drop
waxing moon in a cup
your eyes kiss me
melting in the trans
Form:
beyond and below
beneath the cosmic tide
I awoke today to see
with the sun above
my shadow held tight
for lack of shade
as I crawl beneath
remnant chaparral
with this desert scruff
I scrub my bones
most of the stars we see are deceased
yet they live on like well-loved souls
I marvel at this, as I stare into the night
enjoying the essence that may be a mere remnant
a lovely memory in time and space
Yesterday's daisy chain lies limp on the floor
As it has done many times before
Though just a remnant of a sunny day
It makes me smile anyway

Burnt
ashen
ground
humid
dusty
quagmire
I rummaged in my hands
blackening fingertips
and felt peace
it was what was left
of her last letter
that had freed me of all
fetters.
Listen to poem:
meltwater
exhaled breath
warm remnant of kiss
inescapable consequences
ramifications off-ramp.
despite en garde, parry loop,
deflect dodge defy deny and cry;
relent now,
imbibe and savor the afterglow.
i thought all had been lost
but then i found the remnant of dreams
and yearned to reach out…
to share them all with you

dreams are the shadows of
your mind
mind the remnant of
your imagination n
imagination the rapport of
your vision
you could be blind
without being blind really
when a dog licked me today
i realised i like animals

ASH
remnant
volcanic
when volcanoes break
it off with their sacred tops
all of creation trembles
"ash is left by volcanoes' wrath"
There are good remnants
That come from strong emotions
Like the emotion of Love
Squeezing out is Joy
Elation pure Happiness
An ultimate feeling, Joy

Shadow lights reflecting
on the tattered fringe
of soul,
the shiny threads reminding me
that yes,
I once was whole.
The remnant of a garment
That they now use as a shroud
wrapped around the sad remains of
one who once was proud.
