The ghost of
White-neck ravens
Locking their ears
To the howling
Sound of
The gray wolf's
Fears of the
Blue dragon
Moon

Shiny
Baubles fit
For a ravens
Shiny collection…
Crystals glitter
In sunlight
Facets
Fine.
Merry Martian march,
Ardent adventures adorned;
Restless ravens rasp…
Cozy caressing calmness
Heavenly harmony haunts

Burn
Burn
Burn
Until the winds turn
Or the rains come
And hope returns
And rising out of the ashes
Ravens morph into Pheonix
Warm summer afternoon
Seven Ravens
from Sycamore tree
descend
one by one
landing on velvet green -
As Butterfly
flitters away -
Free
Nightfall
Ravens shadow westward
twilight wings unfurl
daylights span receding
as darkness envelops the world.
Stephen (Stoic)
Old letters stained by umbra of the night
Each crumpled phrase falls as ravens alight

Black lipstick
Glistening
Wet painted eyes
Blue as the sea
Pearls betwixt
Bevies blush..
Aneath
Purple streaks
Ravens hair
Ivory halos
Cardinal kisses.
Half moon hovers over Mt. Rainer
as a not yet setting sun
begins to pull the shades
Ravens gather in their ready
daily journey winged too roost....
Ravens scream at each other
is she really mad?
do birds cry?
for Dr. Ram Mehta's Quinzaine contest
7-5-3 syllables
Ravens, clever birds,
but pointed as cursed scapegoats.
A black plumage and
a husky, rebellious voice
often inspire injustice.

Hear the bell knell
Hear it knell again
A tree dead
but for leaves
Ravens watch
Leave the dead
To watch the slain
Hear the bell knell
Hear it knell again
Form:
Blood
flowing,
scattered
bones and bodies
lay forlorn, forgotten on battle field
Screams still ring out as cannons fire
just pure carnage
ravens feast
on dead
flesh
red streaks on maple
sunrise taunts the wriggling worms
a cardinal preys
blueblack of ravens
irridescent folded capes
peeking at sunrise

I stand on the highest cliff shaking,
it's the barest, sharpest reef existing...
never daring to look down;
ravens watch me with a frown,
but the awful feeling keeps growing.
poetic mouse channeled Coleridge
no one noticed
he channeled Poe
Ravens roosted next to his missive
unfortunately,
his muse Thoreau
would not let him
beat them off with a broom
Caged bird,
Feathers black
Smooth as silk
Unable to fly free,
Caged; with no guilt
A dream of freedom
In God's blue haven
May only be a dream,
When doves mock the ravens
Dawn, raises up in silent,
to a flutter of made wings
evading beaks of Ravens
Wagtail's window humming,
Greeting as Mother protects eggs....
weary of eyes focused on her nest.
Ravens,
A touch of black,
A deep voice it’s using,
It appears when there’s misfortune,
Lurking.

You say you’re in search of America …
go to the food court at the mall
If you can still eat after looking around
—you ignore the Ravens call
(The Court At King Of Prussia: April, 2023)
Amidst the storm, dark ravens fly,
Foreshadowing that someone will die,
Caw-caw they croak, watching us o'er,
It's us against them, and then no more.

The dawn, arrives.
Like fawn, under window.
Get a silk rope.
Across the sky, ravens-
bragging in shrill voice,
of early rise.
Sun chops the sea
in sharp blows, distributing-
light for everybody.
