In my happy place:
Island that is my birthplace.
Joining the rat race
As a temporary face
In my store at my own pace.
Rats Racing Roaches
If it's a rat race
Why are all the roaches here
And How many laps

Haste pick up your pace,
devour fast food for a taste,
trip over shoelace,
try not to make a mistake,
in our labyrinth rat race.

it is easy to speak of love, light and bliss
when one has somehow imbibed grace
but have we so soon already forgotten
erst days of darkness in life’s rat race
Erase vs. Deface
Disgrace vs. Debase
Inner vs. Outer Space
Dog-eat-dog vs. Rat-race
Withdrawing from the Rat Race,
my fortune reappeared
The fog now gone, all clouds pulled back
—direction free and clear

I am done with the modern age's version of the rat race.
I'm done forcing myself to fit in just to feel so out of place.
I am choosing to live life at my own specific pace.
A dilemma we are forced to face
I may say, by Mr. Corona's grace
wants us to play hide and seek
Yet it's more wealth we bespeak
It seems so hard to shun the rat race.

Use at your own risk!
Recommend durable tires
and a durable psychology.
I know, I know, I know
that I can't live
through it again.
That's why I'm walking,
watching my feet
in my red-rubber shoes.
Not knowing why
We still join rat race,
In wanderlust
We add one more face,
Post many births
Gained we’d a good house,
Left it foul oh
With our wicked grace!

Today’s world keeps moving at such a fast pace,
Is it surprising that life has become nothing more than a rat race.
Most days seem to be a struggle to survive,
But there really is something more than just nine to five.
A Sloth's Life
I'm your lil sloth hanging on a prayer
The bump on the log without any flair
Hail Mary full of grace
Leave me from this rat race
Indifferent I suspend of any care

word play
couldn't walk
or stand in place
how could I win
in this rat race
if I ran I
think that I
could not keep up
no miracle mile
or lead for awhile
its just this sadness
that keeps me here
can't walk or stand
just need a beer
The delayed train rolled into the train station
A single coach would carry their consternation!
The London underground maze
Hurried into the rat race craze
The engineer forgot the rest of his locomotion!
L&H Limericks - Contest
Seated in its ambience,
Longed for this dalliance,
I'm in nature's embrace,
Away from life’s rat race,
Surrounded by colours,
Mix of different flavours,
Permeate the entire realm,
I’m laced on nature’s hem.
May 10, 2022.
Waking up early morning daily and join life's rat race,
wish I could sleep a little more in your embrace.

Life isn't a fair haven.
It is an intrigue roller coaster,
an amusing rat race,
an unending struggle until death.
But one by one,
we shall lay down our tools.
All earth's labour shall come to a close.
And our struggles shall end at last.
there for you
here for me
on the level
it needs to be
going slow
an easy pace
there’s no hurry
no rat race
connecting hearts
a bond that grows
learning all
we need to know
there for you
here for me
a heart unlocked
a heart now free
Running the BEATEN PATH
ran, run ran
across the summer beaten tracks
I stand firm
a rat race running
summer runs
in a hot day run

Work done,
tired ton,
Drive home,
street zone,
Cat chase,
rat race,
Pull up,
hit bump,
Dead cat?
No rat,
Cat gone,
not long,
Cat hides,
on side,
Cat waits,
for bait,
Pass bush,
ambush!
Thump, thump,
heart pumps!

Scalding hot
The melting pot
City slickers
With knotted knickers
Traffic jams
Slaughter of lambs
Put up a fight
Speed of light
Amidst the rat race
Within reach a can of mace
Keeping up
Got bumped up
Then retired
Just got too tired

Bliss squall, benediction divine
All is grace, all is grace
With pulse of love, gently align
Exiting life's rat race
On choosing to begin
Silencing thought flow din
God's love exhumes erst sin
His call
Bliss squall
