Rain pummels my soul
beast holds dear, weakening me
Looks of anguish, anger me
Impatience runs through
as their dejected glances
burn. I am weak in their eyes....

The Hearth
Wind berates my humble home
And snow pummels the outside walls
To extinguish the hearth within.
Reduced to a mere glow
Of embers, and hopes of warmth.
As I try desperately to keep it aflame
Against Winter's bite....

The Handy Heart
You have three hands; the third hand is the heart,
it squeezes and lets go, grabs and releases.

The heart that is a hand
pummels you from the inside when you fall in love,
it does not like to be ignored.

If you fall for another,
you had better let that hand in your heart
know that it’s the best of all hands
or it will forever let go and dump you....

The Power of Silence
Words are powerful I must agree
Though when I walk into an empty house
The silence pummels, I must leave
Echoing across my marrow
Quiet solitude erupts
Feverished and clammy
Silent disease is catching
From one dropped word to word
Chasm of separation
Blast me to the moon
Leave the peace, foraging on
Separation in silence.

An Earth Rises To Its Star
Per fortuitous sun, befalls in a hard sky, burst kissed bluing off, seeds of tried gain calm, turn pummels to squander, and set a fast pace to change, to a sedate sensation, influence, the awakening elements of earth's variable forces, components all, in its wake of contributary spoiling of its world.

Premium Member Death Is a Work of Art
Three pummels to the chest
abusive words wound the heart
slashes though sutured, never heal
daggers thrown without a second thought

Arrows fly to their target
three aimed to pierce the heart
a struggle that is far beyond measure
what pain do you feel; what tears you apart

What weapons do you use
when you strike a fragile heart
life lies in danger at the hands of men
three strokes of a brush, death is a work of art...

Chained
I succumb
These bonds... they've broken me
trapped in this endless loop where i can find no peace
this life
It pummels me
The pestle and mortar are much too heavy
For my limp shoulders
These people
They're frightening
The demand from me constantly
To be much more than i am
I wish to be set free
This baggage it pulls on me
It drags me to the deep
I insist mutiny
But im no more than one man
I traipse to the edge
Please... Grab my hand...

"stormy Evening"
Thunder roars and lightning blazes across the sky
And it illuminates the eye of a man as he holds his wife’s hand
The rain plummets to earth and pummels a rooftop
Of a family home as the children laugh and play
The sky darkens a deep black and gray
While a couple lights candles for a romantic evening
And as the wild winds whirl faster
The end of the storm is near
As it goes more joy will come
As each walks outside to a starlight sky
And a peaceful moon rising high...
