Premium Member The Authentic Me
I'll strive to be the best that I can be.
The bar is set too high for me to reach,
But I shall stretch and rise above with glee
And I shall strive to practice what I preach,
For most of all I want to be authentic me.

Premium Member Accountability
Why is accountability so allusive to mankind?
I think that many of us forget, that God is not blind.

There is always an excuse, an easier path to take.
Will our deception anger God, or make his heart break?

Can’t all be forgiven, why must we show disdain?
Practice what you preach, so your work is not in vain.

Hypocritical
Here I am,
You are here as well, a
Place where most people are.
Of course they say they aren't here.
Cuz they practice what they preach,
Right? No they don't.
I have discovered
That most people are hypocrites.
I have learned,
Children learn it from their parents,
And they carry onward in life.
Lying to themselves and everyone else....

Bleeding
Love out of reach
practice what you preach
no time for lies
Just out of reach
Alone
 pure at heart
 never mind
Get a grip
before it slips away
Patience comes
to those who wait
Spare the sorrow
Learn from your mistakes
Love worth giving
Is yours to take
persistence not needed
 heart on the floor
 broken and bleeding
Not needed anymore...

What Is It Good For
Why is it
that we suppose
we are the superior being?
When all we do
is cause death and destruction,
that's all that I am seeing!
We go to school,college,uni
and listen to teachers teach
but when will we stop all war
and practice what they preach?
If you listen to Edwin Starr
his message was simple and right.
As far as I can see,
it really does no good
when all we do is fight....

Practice What You Preach
People always say use your time wisely;

Those same people are the ones who wait for opportunities.

They’ll say “show up early”, and be the last ones to show up;

Or give criticism, without correcting their own mistakes.

It’s not about what you said, it is about how you said it.

You can't expect someone to do a specific instruction,

If you aren't willing to do it yourself.

You just have to practice what you preach....

Maybe, the Truth
I'm wasted by my apathy
I'm barely even here
My will knows Ambiguity:
A grievance for my peer

I rarely Love my fellow man
Or, practice what I preach
Deception is my biggest fan
My Dreams are out of reach

I live as Epimetheus:
And, run from each mistake
I hide my Lies, like most of us
And, give much less than take

I lust to see my Ego fed
To hope this Lie is true
But, deep inside, I feel I'm dead--
Pretending, just like you......

Premium Member Picture This
I'm going to paint a picture,
Not with paint or colored chalk.
I'm going to paint a picture
In just the way, I talk.

Got to use some colorful words
Like chronicle, hordes and heeds.
Words that smell and taste and hear,
It's like growing a garden from seeds.

Poetry is more than words on paper.
It must show the reader the entire scheme.
So their minds can see it so clearly
And it reads just like a dream!

Now to practice what I preach!...

Don'T Leave Me Alone
I'm lying on the floor
I can't stop crying
I've locked the door
I feel like dying

My tears are still hot
I want to see my wrist bleed
I don't want it to clot
Just poor at a slow speed

Can you see my pain
You can try to phone
I found the perfect vein
I won't stop 'till I see bone

The blade, if I can reach
I'll give in
Won't practice what I preach
I have to sin

I can't move
I can see the bone
The blade, can you remove
You left me alone

Stop Lying
Lying to our self
The fruits are a product of the tree
It’s so obvious
That’s the tragedy

Our body tells a story
That the lies can never hide
You can repeat it all you want
However; lies only fuel a troubled mind

So stop lying to yourself
There’s beauty in the truth
When you practice what you preach
The life you live will be the proof

Honesty is the answer
To curing this self-inflicted disease
Self-compassion
Stop lying – and the truth will set you free...

Birds
Birds

Birds you fly so high
up and high in the sky
your wings are colorful and bright
they give us joy and delight

Birds you fly so high
up and high in the sky
kite strings often cause you pain
you have every right to complain

Birds you fly so high
up and high in the sky
but don't forget to take some rest
with your babies in your nest

Birds you fly so high
up and high in the sky
you inspire us with the heights you reach
It's a pity we don't practice but only preach
