Birds you fly so high
up and high in the sky
your wings are colorful and bright
they give us joy and delight
Birds you fly so high

kite strings often cause you pain
you have every right to complain
Birds you fly so high

but don't forget to take some rest
with your babies in your nest
Birds you fly so high

you inspire us with the heights you reach
It's a pity we don't practice but only preach
