Premium Member Thought of the day

vibrations created play out in time
when they manifest, we are bewildered
but now knowing we are not body-mind
we embrace and release each offering
vibrant in silence, leaving fears behind

Where once I roamed the country far and wide
With advancing years, I mostly stay inside

And yet it seems to me that now I clearly see
the nation's history play out in front of me

Robert Ds Bad Mouthin

Bad mouthin, good bloody point! the hurtful glare the snicker there, the put down look so odd, the power play out there today, by some egg sucking sod... thanks Robert Don Johnson

Premium Member On the Wings of a Kite

I run as fast as I can, letting the string play out. Feel, as it catches the wind, watch it rise and float. I give a tug on the line, see it dip and spin, feel it try to break free. I soar on the wings of a kite.

WEEKENDS

Summer at pool.
Staying cool, Sis!
Whirlpool of friends —
Laughter-cleanse splash.
Weekends play out every day, Sis!

Graceful Art

Swirling up, higher and higher.
Looking graceful like a feather.
passing my finger through its path,
silence is more then just a craft.
Painting sculptures from wind torrents.
Inhale slowly now, let the music play out.
Theres no need to shout.

Premium Member Play In the Snow

There was a young fellow called Joe
Who loved to play out in the snow
But he skidded on ice
Somersaulted twice
And broke all three bones in his elbow.

with sinkers and lucks good bait
play out line and wait

Natures Play

The creek’s great to hide from the heat
Grey finches in the trees songs sound sweet
I smell leaves, blossoms and moist peat
Cushion my body from my head to feet
Sprigs of radiantly green wheat
Clouds play out drama above my seat

as pure awareness animating form
we acknowledge labours of lower mind
as limited ego which must conform
to laws of this realm imposing a bind
so we play out our life role as assigned
looking not forward or backward in time
dwelling in the now betwixt bliss beat’s chime

My Puppy

My little puppy
And I have a lot of fun
Playing catch and stuff.
He likes me and we
Play out in our large garden
Most days on the grass.

So young and bouncy
And so full of energy.
Puppy makes my day.

What Do I Do

In a straight betwixt two
And cannot decide
Do I boldly come forth
Or do I run and hide

If it comes to fruition
Then I might regret
But follow my intuition
I cannot make that bet

So I'll let it play out
And continue this desire
To bridle Lady Fate
Is to play with her fire.

Tragical

His lover died
upon a cold, stone tomb floor,
poison on her lips.

How could this happen?
Shakespear miss-translated an
old Italian tale.

A fairy tale commits suicide.
Alternative versions collide,

sad endings multiply,
for those that watch
their own days play out,

and wonder.

life as impulsed plays on screen of space-time
we play out our role as has been assigned
yet our focus is fixed on bliss beat’s chime
remaining at all times divine aligned
with feral cravings of ego declined
for being bliss replete we feel complete
our body drenched with magnetic cool heat

From my smartphone
fear rings
through
knock, rattle, hospital hospice sounds
We connect.
Tonight all I can think about is your voice, Jean.
The last call.
Vibrations continue
fading
ivory white and black keys
notes play out
on Dakota land
snow and deep deep holes
from roots dug out.

Even Out

I sit and think of things
How they play out and what life brings
You can look at a person with everything
And think how they have luck with anything
But it takes just one chance spin
To change them looking in
So I think of burdens worn
Will even out for everyone when ripped or torn.

Premium Member As Summer Ends

As summer ends
      leaves wave goodbye
the sensual greens of sage and jade
prepare a winter’s rest

As summer ends
      breeze seems to sigh
as verdant lush begins to spin and
its red and gold is dressed

As summer ends
      skies of aqua fly
gilded scenes of sun play out their run
sweet memories confessed

Growing Old

My best friend and I,
Contemplate getting old.
Thinking of how our lives will play out.
Then our future became clear:
We will be ninety.
In a house with seventy cats.
With iron lungs by our sides.
She will turn to me.
My best friend of seventy eight years,
Will turn to me and say,
“I hope the cats eat you first.”

Tangerines

Bright orange tangerines
Taste so sweet
Our lives play out
in an instant
a brief tune
Played on the cosmic piano
shadows creep up later on
Bright orange tangerines
Taste so sweet
You'll know the answer
when the clock strikes twelve
Midnight will bring
Phantasmagorical dreams
Bright orange tangerines
taste so sweet

Premium Member Frosty the Snowman

Did you hear about Frosty The Snowman?

His reign didn't play out according to plan.

Neighborhood dogs peed on him yellow.

He was one most mortified young fellow!
