The outpour
spouts gently. My lone thoughts
drain bitterly as pearly chutes ebb

Soft patter 
of rapids flushes night
from angst. Though barren stream dives endless

And pierced rocks
lash at my lost chances.
The twirl of water eases love's blow

While I dive
into an evening's pool
like a rapid swollen by gray spills.

On the pallet with robusta flavor---
Yet, totally unsweetened  for now
When daylight  gulps in an ache; my coffee
Becomes bitter, nipping my tongue 
Like heated grain of yesterday’s spiels---

Verse settled down without fanfare
Three ladies made of roses bright,
Greeted me by showering   care
Which on first day, was pure delight.

Stephen has won gold at three sequential Paralympics, 
In his event, the club, which you throw with everything, 
In Atlanta 1996, in Sydney 2000, then in Athens picks,
And then in 2008 in Beijing he won silver for his fling.

In the 2012 Paras he was captain of the men’s athletics, 
Then in 2016 he became an MBE for services to sport, 
He lives in Carrington Northumberland where he did affix, 
The Freedom of Carrington on 7th February 2014, fort....
