Premium Member Why Chinese Restaurants Are Always Open On Xmas

Santa's thrashing around in acute pain
No gifts due to bottlenecked supply chain
     What was Santa to do
     To achieve a breakthrough
He'd snap up packets of Chinese Chow Mein

Spring festival
Auspicious colours
Painting town red

Reunion dinner
Grand celebration
Hearts aligned

Homeward bound
To gather again
Good times come around

Joy sings
Spring chorus;
Familiar red packets

Laughing faces
Jolly feasting:
Memory subscribes

My Colours

Lifting your curtain
You step in spraying white light
Fascinating sight

Yellow pink golden
Blue red and green in high veins
A colorful rain

Packets of sweet life
Filling the happy windows
 A fusion in strife

Honey Bees Are Flying Back Wards

breast milk brewed
in factories liberated
colostrum in packets
saints steal the milk
of calves drink then pray
believing in a myth
heat of love in plastic
bags swollen
while leaves eat the sun
turning green we destroy them
honey bees are flying back wards

Spring hurls fine cheer

Custom works best
To forge fine fest

Red packet gifts
Watch cash uplift

Glimpses of smiles
As blessings style

Fond festive cheer
Draws each soul near

Fresh touch of spring
As joy now sings

Premium Member Welch's Fruit Snacks

Ok, I think I'm addicted to Welch's fruit snacks
They come in little packets and I keep going back!
The box is empty....way too fast
I may have to get help for this at last!
Or maybe I could be on a commercial one day somehow
Make some money telling people how great these are
                       - Buy them now!-

I Give Myself a S a Leaf

I give myself as a leaf
Starved in shine dress nude
Caterpillar chest swiped in vein
Swim in drops as deep as green

I give myself as a sky
Cloud sparkle lit forests in shade
Winds dance in airy packets
Color arches as music in rhyme

I give myself nevertheless
No name,no deed, no pain
Dove nests to home close
Eagle hatches in high cliff

Smoke without fire attention held in packets of time each quanta a hypnotic trance to live in it fully by immersion thus choosing drop in awareness why for should we not delight upon waking up in the void sans attachment, as a bliss mist dwelling in but not of the world ephemeral life is but smoke 19-January-2023

Something Whispers To Me - For You

something whispers to me
during the awkward silences
packets of light escape your mouth

I don't know which way they go
so don't ask me to lead the way
i'm trying to find what keeps loosing me

moving through the silence
through the city
we look and shop and laugh

but never see

to be so close

an awkward silence precedes the whispering
I open all the windows
I open all the doors

Premium Member Land of Lost Shadows: A Tribute To L S Lowry

land of lost shadows
and unweathered skies

five urban colours
through unflinching eyes

tall distant chimneys
and schoolyards at play

smoke drifting sideways
in stillness each day

sketches on packets
of stained cigarettes

strange brooding faces
and marionettes

people bent walking
with heads looking down

 - if lowry was living
he'd have painted my town.

Premium Member Ordering Coffee At Mcdonalds

Three sweeteners please
And add two packets of sugar
A dab of caramel silk and two shots of chocolate milk.

The woman glared at me.
This is McDonald’s she said, not a Starbucks.
You want all that in lemon tea?

Never mind, I said, feeling foolish.
I forgot that I had finally decided on tea instead of coffee.
The rest of the people in line moaned their displeasure as I left.

Premium Member The Pathless Path

How to navigate the path leading to liberation?

Loosening mind-body identification
Recognising that our attention is held in packets of time
Silence and stillness our orientation
Unhurriedly shifting fulcrum nearer to conscience chime

What happens in meditation is this: we exit hypnotic trance
Tumbler within falls noiselessly; revealing self-luminescence

Premium Member Waiting At a Restaurant

arriving thirty two minutes early
opportunity to sit in the sun without apology
I observe people waddle in and out
this is a restaurant with unhealthy food
my favorite kind

I have written eight poems so far
my friend has fourteen minutes left
I could probably build a haunted house out of sugar packets
if I sat at a booth and waited
I choose to sit here in the sun
soaking up rays like a happy cat as I write

And There He Stood

an empty train,
full of riches.
touring through the pain
a tour Guide

As he walks out of the bushes
wondering around.
people with packets,
a car guard on focus
The last bit of leaves
Autumn was drawing closer

and there he stood.
an angle, a gap.
an old-lee faded building
The Garden, in proportion
Tour-est walking by.

and there he stood.
a rusted fence
the injustice!
the feeling of crime

and there he stood.

Dedication From a Friend To You

You have been bruised battered and torn
Blew by horns a loud trumpet to set you free
Straight jackets
Small Packets of Jubilee's
Let us Celebrate the coming of the day
How freedom has a name
It is YOU all the same
Standing tall away from pain
What to do what to gain
Everyday being grateful you are sane
Irregardless of the shame
it is better to be here Now the past erased away
Come today walk with thee
Guaranteed
It was not easy!

Premium Member Head Chef Deserved a Roasting

Chef Billy was nasty and rude He’d swear when trainees ruined food With a loaf of stale bread He’d whack them on the head His language was terribly crude One trainee used sugar not salt The packets had split - not his fault He’s beaten then battered His poor nose was shattered Chef Billy got sacked for assault!
