Look close you will see my evil thought's running though my mind I was a devious small boy, I dumped my brothers ant farm on his bed' I looked at my others brothers books he hid under his mattress, boy was that an eye opener, Come to think of it I still have that look lol
Struggles come
Life isn’t always easy
I work and work
Grumbling until it hits me
I don’t have to do this stuff

I awake
my mouth is dry as a rivers bed
water, water, water
head dizzy, fuzzy
hands a shaking
cigs and asprin for breakfast
i open a beer and smoke a joint
a shot of whiskey for an eye opener
feeling better a 12 pack later
before i know it
i am caught up in
my daily buzz
TRUTH
don’t dare speak the truth
there will be subtle thunder
as your words hit home
areas thought innocent
were seeded now breaking forth
storm is upon you
as fits your life’s position
blasts both great or small
truth is a can opener
a can filled with subterfuge
Bottle opener,
For the bottled up soul.
Without this love,
Inside building ,
Expanding release,
And
Explode,
To the place-
Without,
Life?

She was supposed to be the office underdog.
She had less experience than the rest of us.
Less credentials than the mail opener.
No one told her she was not supposed to come in
acting like the overdog.
She strutted, bragged, barked, demanded.
Correcting the rest of us.
Showing off knowledge that was minimal.
She did not last the week.
When will it happen that
in an assemblage of
two or three computers,
in a house wired badly
by a drunken electrician
twenty years before, a
steady wave pulse emerges
between the dishwasher,
and the espresso machine
and connects to the shorted
out garage door opener that
a persona will appear and
announce to the startled
occupant of the house,
"I am here"
Tampered photo,
Tampered life,
Born elite,
Married Strife.
Never one mans wife.
Wed to the nation,
System creation.

Chosen, at what cost?
Wishful eloper,
Like the in law shirker.

Hunted creature
Populism fall girl
No one to catch her.

Dad and I dug
for treasure
in the backyard.
My eyes lit up at
the can opener,
it glimmered silver in the earth-
except for the rusty parts.
He made another hole
by the white tree
and I polished off
the rock, that was
so smooth-
except where it was rough.
In the rubble at the bottom,
I found a penny caked in dirt,
so old,
it must have been worth
a fortune.
Newly adopted toddlers mourN
Indemnity as locus standI
Gold-crests laG
Event invites the employeE
Rodeo on the wealthy riveR
Irrevocable superminI
And the black gold run et ceterA
Nobles with black gold gains remaiN
Spectacles of other specieS
Opener ramains incognitO
Ne'er-do-well holds the horN
No one remembers the mooN

City without electricity - a lost town -
Phones don’t work, internet’s down.
Food spoils in freezer, coffee can’t perk;
Traffic lights out, everybody’s a jerk.
Elevators don’t work - gotta climb, climb:
And read fast before sun-down time.
Learn to cook over a candle,
Electric can-opener? Use the handle.
Back to the stone age in a second
Life’s not as easy as you reckoned.
Smile for the camera
You are about to take the picture
Which one?
The outstanding one
So I decided to smile,
This is just an eye opener
Open those eyes
This is just a curve ball
Bend with it
This is just a one way path
Formulate those sequences
You are about to finish that sentence,

So I decided to acknowledge myself.
Lifelong series, proliferation of dreams
Procrastination pushes cans to rear shelf
Crushed pineapple replaces peaches and creams
Depleted pantry unenvisioned of self
Back burners overwrought iron pans of sin
Awaiting an opener, woman of tin

The Sardine
(How the best laid plans
can sometimes go wrong)
The Sardine is an unusual fish,
It spends all its life in a tin
On top of a Superstore shelf
So other fishes cannot get in.
But their plan was not so ingenious
As they sooner or later found out
They left the opener on the outside
Now the Sardines cannot climb out.
