Premium Member Newfoundland Highway

driving through the wilds
roads carved through granite and spruce
dusk is approaching...
full concentration needed
"Be on the lookout for moose!"

Premium Member Transcendence

The distant mountain is ablaze
Sun rain clouds blend majesty

From my perch on the lookout hill
All land between is ocean

Clouds like white waves obscure the Earth
I bathe in that transcendence

Criminal

I witnessed a crime.
The
suspect was a
young girl

Be On The Lookout-

-She wore a rasberry beret
the sort of thing you find in a second hand store

-She was a brown eyed girl with a wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk

I swear to god she had kaleidescope eyes.

Literal

Some folks thirst for knowledge;
Others seek release.
There are leaders on the lookout
For a path to peace.

Some folks crave the limelight;
Some reach for the stars.
Others try to bridge the gap
From Venus straight to Mars.

Metaphors don’t move me,
So when I think of thirst,
An ice-cold frothy-headed beer
Is what I think of first!

Heads Up

When driving, we use WAZE, which is
A talking GPS.
It finds the quickest routes and thus
Eliminates some stress.

At times, it issues warnings
Like an "obstacle on road,"
So we'll both be on the lookout
To avoid our being towed.

But it took a while to realize
That an "animal ahead"
Won't leap out to cause some damage;
It's already stone cold dead!

Strong Thought

Quiet powerful thoughts swirl around inside,
A mystery to everyone they always choose to hide,
Dark and mysterious they want to live in the dark,
Always on the lookout for the tiniest spark,
Overtime they multiply becoming a stressful load,
On the brink of cracking they're set off and your mind explodes,
You find out that holding it all in was wrong,
The person everyone knew you as is gone

Premium Member Yogi and Boo-Boo

Yogi bear loved to rob tourists of their lunch, raiding picnic baskets for brunch. Always on the lookout for the park ranger, his antics grew even stranger. Boo-Boo routinely got caught with pilfered snacks, being Yogi's friend had drawbacks. Tagging along on the promise of a treat, he served the master of deceit. Always Be On the Lookout For Good But Still Able To Spot Bad

First and foremost

Always be on the lookout for the good

And seek to find the best in everyone

So long as that doesn't come at the expense

Of leaving you blind and unable to spot

The bad as well

Otherwise because they are able to

You will most definitely do for them

And at that point even you will be

Forced into realizing and admitting

Knowing the difference between

Good and bad

And you won't like that side

What I See

what i see is life mayhem and murder
what i see is chaos from day to day
what i see are things i encounter
as i journey on my way
i am always on the lookout
because something is always lurking
so in that instance I'm prepared
so I'm smiling and smirking
my eyes are always moving
my head is always turning
never knowing what lies ahead
when the rubber is burning
what i see is the world as it spins
what i see is me resting
when my day comes to an end

Premium Member Overclocked

What must it be like to be male? To live with an overclocked metabolic system that’s always on the lookout for brazen and unmistakable propositions - like a smile or a "please pass the salt."

I mean at times we all have those feelings - primitive as oil - but not the constant, fast forward, high density need that males seem to live with.

It must be like wrestling a trapped demon..
