Too many cooks cause a problem in the kitchen Chefs don't like others challenging their decisions As to what goes in And how many mins Fisticuffs can break out and you lose your vision

I heard a noise on my roof
Could it be
Absolutely impossible

Now my kids left milk and cookies for santa
Well as i made my way out of bed to see

but santas suprise was the alarm was on
and it went off the police came in five mins
OOPs Santas was naughty

Unity

Unity
Mankind must find its unity,
of every color, creed, and race.
We must join together,
so we can move out into space,

What we have done to this planet,
because of what comes to this place.
There cannot be any immunity,
from what the climate brings to the planetary community.

Summer

Summer
The summer is coming, first the spring than the summer,
it gets very hot we must not,
we must not get anyone shot.

From time to time, things may go very wrong,
then we must be so strong,
and learn to go peacefully along.

We must avoid a bummer,
    allowing people to be told,
        of advancement bold.

I'M Feeling the Burn

A saucepan burn, the pain was quite drastic After cooling I wrapped arm in plastic Cling film worked such a treat to reduce the burn’s heat I’m now pain free and feeling fantastic! Yesterday I burned my wrist on the edge of a saucepan – ouch it was so painful! Google’s advice is to use cool water for 20 mins then wrap burnt area in clingfilm ... it really works 7/17/19

Middling Mild

Ducks are up in the air,
it is early - too much
a middling.
Nature lures,
leads us on,
the weather is wrong.

Icy licked stems
are surprised.

Defrosting ants and marmots
patch and mend,
loggers lean on buzz saws.

People take pause,
store bobble hats
and puffer jackets.

Today, to the contrary
the snow is heavy,

any hint of avian romance
is indefinitely delayed.

Darkness Arising

As autumn arrives and mornings grow dark
I struggle to get out of bed
When I hear the alarm, I press the ‘snooze’
And pull the duvet up over my head

The alarm sounds again, I switch it off
Turning over for five more mins
Until some time later I’m rushing around
Late for work, because I’ve slept in!

This never occurs in the summer
When I’m up, out of bed, with the larks
So why do I find it an arduous task
To do the same, when mornings are dark?

Sailing

She misses the morning mist;
the deep, shadowed vista of valleys
hair flying
across her face like curtains

her papa at the helm of ‘Atlanta’.
passing plagues of flies
at the bridge where fishermen cleaned their catches

Each day like a page and once turned
no chance of ever re-tracing.

For Russell Sivey’s 5 minute Challenge
Used the wordlist as a trigger and wrote for 5 mins.

Mist, helm, part, page, plaque, hair, traces, bridge, curtain, vista

Under the Christmas Tree

Under The Christmas Tree
Under the Christmas tree I set.
Wating for my Christmas gifts.
A car, a truck a bike would be nice.
I ate all the cookies and drank the milk
Better for me than old saint nick.
It's getting really late and I can't wait.
I have to go pee, but I don't want to miss him.

Now that I went I just can't believe gone 5 mins.
He was here and gone.
No truck, no car and no bike.
A sox full of rocks and a note.
It said,"better luck next year you drunk!"
