Notes About The Poem

I'M Feeling the Burn

A saucepan burn, the pain was quite drastic After cooling I wrapped arm in plastic Cling film worked such a treat to reduce the burn’s heat I’m now pain free and feeling fantastic! Yesterday I burned my wrist on the edge of a saucepan – ouch it was so painful! Google’s advice is to use cool water for 20 mins then wrap burnt area in clingfilm ... it really works 7/17/19

I use aloe lotion meant to calm sunburn. Seems to do the trick! Glad you found relief and like all us poets, you found a way to turn your tragedy into a poem.

I've not had a burn for years so the use of cling film never crossed my mind until hubby recalled it from an A & E programme. I sincerely hope your wife doesn't have to use this tip though Rick!:-( hugs Jan xx

Hi Jan, I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you. It's good to hear that you are feeling much better. Only you would make a limerick out that situation. I hope that other than that you're having a good day:-) Alexis

Thanks Mo... I read up on how to treat a burn and had seen clingfilm used on the TV in hospital programmes so thought I'd give it a try and I've also heard about using it on tattoo's ... what an amazing product:-) hugs Jan xx
