Abstractionist Hans Hofmann
had a 'minimalist ' attention span
Do give his work a peek
he just et the 'necessary' speak
In the world of minimalist things,
greatness flourishes,
if nobility is woven.
Minimalist Robert Ryan
so conceptual this particular American
Painting white on white
gave we colour deficients quite a fright
Robert Morris did persist
as a well known minimalist
Preconceptions will just melt
when viewing installation so heart ' felt'

Blessed

…I feel flattered,
My minimalist lexis
Breathes.
Frugality with economy of words
hoping you will read between the lines
silence dishing out the obvious

flux-

shaped
by lines-
ever
changing
never
the
same
wherever
we go
there
will be
decay and
absence
for the
moment
we absorb
and learn
stillness
become
silent

I am not verbose, I am laconic,
at most, I shorten the poem,
I diminish the lie,
I stabilize the truth,
I am a minimalist poet!
Searched you in dark outside
The road ended in despair
The journey lost in confusion
Discovered an open door within
Lighted, you’re defined for me.

Hearts cannot deny
straying hands once touched
love’s jagged edges,
searching for escape,
finding each other.

remembering German days
not Paris
contradicting and refuting

The short poem,
minimalist
i relish ...,
speaks further rotundly,
and deeper than
the repetitive,
the wordy,
the superfluous ...!
waiting for the messiah to
lead back to open the muddy
salt lake on apocalypse eschca-
tological systems, minimalist dis-
pensations dis belief in the wilder-
ness wrath of god in the great tribu-
lations judgement on the final rebellion+

Minimalist Donald Judd
from whom simplicity did flood
Letting the surrounds have their say
three dimensional art his forte
From installationist Allan Kaprow
ethereal happenings did flow
One-off activities non·par·eil
living art so surreal
in soft outline
strokes
whorls&
stains
cropping close
piercing black

evocations

tracery
Majestic prancing encompassing the marsh
Holding hands, proudly singing gay
Our love exaggerating every moment
Our muse illuminating into aglow
Forth into the White Night

I’m waiting out the day
with minimalist hopes
and recycling anxiety.
I’m waiting for the hour
for a smooth transfer of power
or for things to go sour.
I’m waiting for the word
after a period of counting
for freedom’s call
or an accelerated freefall.

______________
A minimalist reflection on mourning and the erosion of identity, set in the asphodel fields of Greek myth, where unremarkable souls wander without memory…
