The Brook
How the brook does babble
as it goes its merry way.
Take the time to dabble
in its playful spray....

Someone smiled at me today.
I responded with a cheery g'day.
Such simple gestures to convey,
As we both went our merry way....

Yesterday I lay down and passed away,
Today the world goes on its merry way.
Wasted was all the time I worried
About what to do, what people would say....

Coasting
Riding along
   an old country road,
Dreaming of things
   my past memories hold.
Drinking in
   the warm summer day,
Happily going
   my own merry way.

Her Vessle
So long ship,
go on your merry way!
I hope I'll see you soon,
when you come
stumbling back to Bay,
to Bloor,
and Yorkville
where we last docked,
and rocked,
swayed,
and dawdled,
talking
into the night...

So long ship,
farewell my love!...

N A
All along my merry way i have collected so very many

N's
&
A's

Instead of saving them for a game of Scrabble

I will now recite the Chorus to a well known Beatles Song

And it goes a little something like thus

NA NA NA
NANA

Hey Jude...

Premium Member A Cat Disappeared
in summer
 a cat appeared
 in my backyard
 every day
 bathed in the sunshine
 rolled on its back
 then sneaked under the fence
   on its merry way...

 now a forbidding wind moans
 leaves snap off of trees
 late afternoons
 the hawk is out
   the sky, an angry gray...

Baited Breath
When I awoke,

I started thinking.

Am I rising?

or Am I sinking?

I live each day, as just a day, and carry on my merry way

But there's something more I am trying to see...

Open my eyes and show it to me!

I shall live each day with baited breath,

Giving in to Life or Death....

I will be your guinea pig I say.
What can I do for you today?
Wash the toilets? Clean the floor?
Paint that wall? Refinish your door?

I have arrived to work in a merry way.
Ready to have an absolutely fine Monday.
Just do any extra lunch duty, okay?
I wish I was back in home in every way....

in the perfect quirky bistro

they may as well cordon off the area

Premium Member Hope Eternal
We hope for things to come or
be true -- Like our minds, bodies, and the life that is in us.

We hope for our days to be long like
the seasons that stretch into years.

We have hope that we are Successful at the things
we do and say.

And in time we leave good things to cherish,
as we go on our merry way....

Being Happy
Are you glad
In your pad

Are you ecstatic
In your attic

Are you having a fun time
While the clocks chime

Now what I am going to say
Will help you on your merry way

Because wherever you are
You don't need to go far

Because it is in you
That you will find the clue

To being content
And enjoying life's merrriment...

A New Beginning
It came to Earth
In a firestorm
Yet, it barely reach the ground
It came in the twinkling of an eye
It barely made a sound
To summons'
Gods' people directly to the sky
And as the world tinkered and
Toiled along it's very merry way
Their wasn't a Soul to be found
For the Lord had carried the day
Come this Judgement Day!

the cutest sight in the garden
is not the daisy or rose
it has to be the bumblebee
upside down, showing his toes

he's head first in the center
of his favourite bloom.
with his little bumblebee butt stuck up
smelling its sweet perfume

flower to flower off he goes
on his merry way
but watching him , upside down
has made me smile today...

Oh Jupiter
Oh jupiter
send me on my merry way
there where the creek lay
a troubled road will follow

a road that could better myself
I know not the change it will make
but it is a chance I have to take
even if it leads away from what I know

and when I reach the end
a willow tree will fall
and upon him I will call
to lend me a wheeping branch...

Merry Christmas
"Happy Holidays" I reject
I will not be politically correct
Though others I respect
I feel Christmas is one I must protect.

I refuse to go along
Like some happy song
To say what in my heart feels wrong
Just so I can feel like I belong.

Go on about your merry way
And have a most joyous day
As for all of you, I do pray
"Merry Christmas" I will always say....

My First Kiss
It was a sunny and bright Sunday evening
All of us kids were gathered under the cellar
I the mommy and the neighbor’s son the daddy
We fed the children and sent them off to school

Daddy said “mommy just a kiss and I’m off to work”
I peeped around the column looking for grandma
She was nowhere to be seen so I kissed daddy
Then I sent him on his merry way to work
With his banana leaf lunch bag and clay food...

Only the Street
The sugar-tipped touch of desire
Meets every abhorring soul at one point in time
Mine hits,
It knocks me to the curb and leaves me bloodied
With signs of fresh exposed flesh
In agony and devout angst
I rise
All I can see is hazel-
Your eyes,
The subtle fluff of your hair
Your preciously treasured grin
Remains with me
As we continue on our merry way
Only the street can feel my heartbeat beneath my feet....

Once Along Time Ago
Once along time ago, when I was only 3,
I was sitting on my lawn, and a bird sat on
my knee, He sang a song of Au tum , and then went
his merry way,I often stop and think about ,that very
spec ail day. For I swore I saw that same old bird sitting
on my lawn and he was singing and singing that same
    old lovely song.

Did he know who I was ?
    Did he remember me?
Did he know that years ago
    He sat upon my kn...

At Arms Length
at arm’s length

at arm’s length
the damaged
will keep you---
having been round the bush
having seen a good portion of
the world’s ability to destroy,
terrorize & horrify,
the concept of “trust” has been
completely annihilated.

either accept these conditions of the
21st century &
come back to the poker table
with a new hand,
or be on your merry way
into the vast garbage can of the
past mistakes
that brought us to this point in the
first place....

He would love to wake up each day
And play along life’s merry way.

But as he wakes up from the dead
And rolls on out of his bed.
He heads off to work instead.

She was often heard to say,
She’d rather go to work than play.

So, with this notion in her head
She rolled on over in her bed
And thanked the lord for the man she wed.

The preceding lines a day in time.
When you stay together for a lifetime,
The pronouns oft get turned on a dime....

Whistling Wind Chimes
Was it something my mouth openly said?
You make me simply wonder sometimes!
Just hearing the whistling wind chimes,
I wonder what goes on in your head!

I am always here,
You are always there,
We breathe in the same air,
The whistling wind chimes always carry me near.

Playing around in a challenging make believe,
It’s just you and me today.
We’re well on our merry way.
No tricks or treats to deceive.
I’m whistling in the winds at you,
And you do it to me to!...

On Bynar Day
On bynar day,
A dumplin grey,
Come singing down the drove.
A merry tee,
Along a thee,
Tar mucky borogrove.

A dumplin grey,
He merry way,
A singing as he strode.
His song he sing,
A jolly ting,
Off home up he abode.

Large peeble be,
With eye they see,
Said dumplin marching on.
Off he go by,
They know not why,
Nor wonder where he gone.

Tread on he trod,
The daft ol' sod,
A tune upside his head.
This be all wrong,
He sing no song,
Cuz really he be dead.

And that's all there is to it....
