A Cat Disappeared
in summer
a cat appeared
in my backyard
every day
bathed in the sunshine
rolled on its back
then sneaked under the fence
on its merry way...
now a forbidding wind moans
leaves snap off of trees
late afternoons
the hawk is out
the sky, an angry gray
