My First Kiss

It was a sunny and bright Sunday evening
All of us kids were gathered under the cellar
I the mommy and the neighbor’s son the daddy
We fed the children and sent them off to school

Daddy said “mommy just a kiss and I’m off to work”
I peeped around the column looking for grandma
She was nowhere to be seen so I kissed daddy
Then I sent him on his merry way to work
With his banana leaf lunch bag and clay food
