Zero Degrees Certitude
Where you go…
where you’ve been
One port of entry
leads within
Its grand canal
flows North and South
Meridian deep
—to anchor doubt

Blind Meridian
Fire burns hottest
that burns below
Centuries rage
heartache’s grow
The coldest cold
blows just above
A gripping blizzard
—wrath ungloved

Songs Obsidian
Clanks,

blanks,

cranks,

clash!

Slams in tank,

detours irate!

Ingenious infiltrates,

sojourns knocking,

indignation on the plank,

plutocracy dank!

Dotards are prate,

iridescence is just as late-

prime meridian,

songs obsidian,

and the incandescence great!...

Questioning Depression
Do you?
Fasten procrastination against the bed sheets of discontented motivation?
Sleeping into oblivion with depression settling in?
Becoming a recipient of insidious stigmatization?

Or, Do you?
Pull yourself up from the valarien labyrinth
of maladjusted madness into the meridian borders beyond a delirium of serious commitment?...

Only In Passing
I passed over Monet this morning--an Ohio River-crossing;
the promise fulfilled with ante meridian mists,
trees, sun, and deep, moving waters
exploding in mute reflection
as leaves on the banks paid homage.

Sudden, brush-filled hands shot up from the depths--Excaliburs all--
staking their ancient claims to everlasting morning glory....

Common Threads
Collective self-consciousness,
the well where I draw
old voices and struggles
lie deep in its craw
What’s shared but unstated,
reflexively pawned
to borrow ungiven
the right to what’s wrong
Collective self-consciousness,
polarity’s friend
unspoken meridian
between fact and pretend
To wait in the memory
of what’s yet to come
released by the moment
—humanity won

Ante Meridian
ANTE MERIDIAN

I didn’t have my coffee
I didn’t smoke my cigarette
I don’t face him – I am too bitchy –
so many words in the marriage
they come out like glazed ants
irrational “good morning”

I understand my womanhood
in an amazonian way
an I placate my own voice
in the exertion of waking up

he dances a kiss on my cheek
to peel off the numbness
and dulcifies the leap
from dream to reality...

Aurora's Meridian.
Let sleep be given,
To the evensong,
As perhaps,
A fallen opulence feather,
Fallen from wings tips flight.

Unconscious in the sojourn,
Of none the more a mind's cease,
Memory will not forsake the need,
To purify the thought of search,
As eyed lids rested plight.

Find me in the breakage,
Of light's asunder,
And Cimmerians's leer,
The tapestry of morning,
To find the gift of dawn,
In the unspoken reflected...

The Last of the Axioms
David J Walker

The new eternal equinox
Settles on the turn of the tide
The moon charts a path
In celestial math
Searching for places to hide

Noon makes its propitious appearance
Marking meridian measure
Another day
	For the passions play
To display its cursive displeasure

How fast the past streaks past us
How quickly forgotten stray thought
The soon days dawn
	Lay just beyond
The last of the axioms sot...

Idaho Potatoes
If you ask just about anyone in the know, they will tell you the best potatoes come from Idaho. That is a state located in the Pacific Northwest. Their underground tubers are undoubtedly the best. Whether you bake them, boil them, or fry, they have that special flavor nobody can deny. The state has potatoes that nobody else can grow. Whether you go to Boise, Meridian, Twin Falls, or Pocatello, you will find the best potatoes grow in Idaho.

Lady of the North
Child of the Northern Lights
Blown in on a winter gale
Dance with the Stars at Night
High as the Moon and as pale.

Deep are the Oceans you sail
On curious shores to alight
Your footsteps in sand entail
Revelation – a secret revealed

Understanding remaining concealed
Your journey has barely begun
And the wounds that are still to be healed
Require further exposure to Sun

Align your keel, Northward at the Meridian
Tilt sail and oar, to infinite viridian...

Down the Waterfall
It burns in me, your broken thoughts. Reminder of a wound, healed, yet, not forgotten. Ain't it too late? For I can hear the bamboos, that'll ferry me across, the meridian being felled. "Girl!" I say, "Weed off, your unhealthy doubts." Ah! The planned waterfall, is a free fall of thrills. There ain't a life jacket, But 'am set to take the plunge, Holding onto my ABCs*. You stick to the blueprint, please.
*ABC = Accelerator, Brake, Clutch (meaning controls/basics)...

Chromatic Travel
As the mind is tabula rasa
Runs into deep, deep into sleep-abyss
Enchanted by the wave
Unfasten by the speculum
Grip up a dust from nebula
Meridian air touch the hair
Again to prepare for a slumber
Down to the Caucacious mountain
The arrival of souls up there
To create a new lullaby
Mind is still taking an intercourse
With the unconscious
Travelling upper crest to sable abyss
Tears crawls from the corner of sleepy-eye
For pleasure?
For flatness?
Or blend of two side by side?...
