The Value of Time
over 50's; when a bed stops you to support sleep longer.
when your body stops you to eat stronger,
when medications stop you to drink alcohol,
when Dr. advises you to stop smoking if you live longer,
you know the time when value becomes a tease monger....

Safe Health

Video Visit
For my video visit by phone
Where my doctor’s and my face were shown
All my questions got asked
And we both sat, unmasked,
In the comfort of places well-known.

We discussed medications and such
Without blood work (of course, there’s no touch)
But my face on the screen
(Ugh! You know what I mean)
Was the part that I hated so much!...

My Life's Final Course
I adjust my emotions ---
It's not too dificult to do ---
All it takes is the right medications,
in a room with a view ---
I arrange my thoughts into neat little rows ---
But as usual, no matter what I do,
nothing seems to grow.
Existing in a life consisting of unhappiness
and remorse;
with no chance of altering my life's final course....

Start, Stop
Remove the dead leaves
Peel off the old layers
Start all over when it all falls apart

Remove the medications
Peel off the dermal patches
Start all over when you have a broken heart

Retrace your steps
Pack your belongings in a case
Stop fighting all the good intentions

Retrace your roots
Pack your life into your bag
Stop wishing for the future, there is none....

Premium Member Terrified of Medications
I am scared of medications
They terrify me
because of the effects
they have on me

They rarely do what
is expected,
and almost never do
what they do for others,
for me

Because I have the
dubious talent of
not reacting to
medications in
expected
or usual
ways

Pills that
knock three hundred
pound men out for
seventeen hours
keep me wide awake
for seventy-two hours....

When
When you no longer hurt or are asleep from your medications, we’ll laugh.
When you no longer are thinking about all the things you don’t have, we’ll be rich.
When your visions of all the things that need your attention go away, you’ll see me.
When you stop talking to FaceBook, we’ll get to know each other.
When you stop saying “I love you” and take the time to learn who I am, I’ll believe you....

Gout
My sympathies are with anyone who suffers from gout. It is painful and disheartening without a doubt. It happens when levels of uric acid increase. Inflammatory arthritic pain in the joints never cease. A long list of different drugs are taken every day. Anyone hopes the medications draw the pain away. Such a condition can put anyone on the shelf. I know, because I suffer from it myself.

Science and Health
Science in health care
DNA will show you
What your diet should be
Just a brush inside your mouth
And you will know what it's about
Your body holds the key
To what you should be

Robots are being used
As companions for sick children
Where they take their observations
So that doctors can download them
And it will remind them when
To take their medications
So we really are in the Information Age.

Premium Member Saturday Shake Down On Meds
Right hand is asleep.
Eyes blurry.
Hands shaky.

Left hand asleep now.
Why am I at work?
What was I thinking?

Thank God I did not drive myself.
I do not have that kind of energy.
My body wants to wander back to bed.

But is sleep doing me any good?
Not a whole lot.
Would I be better off sitting in the sun
with a book on my lap?

Maybe.
Before I can register this
I am betraying myself by crawling back into bed.
ZZzzzzzzzzz...

Taken towork 3 jobs for free

where i was almost euthenised by a group of people claiming to be friends

Tremfya
Who names these medications
The commercials always tout?
Since one is weirder than the next,
I’d like to find that out.

Xeljanz and Trulicity,
Cosentyx and Tremfya
Join with manufacturers
Who might Abilify ya.

I picture people in a room
With lettered cubes who toss ‘em
To see which combinations stick,
Deciding some are awesome.

To me, they sound ridiculous
No matter what they’re used for
And viewers, seeing names like these,
Could never be confused more....

Premium Member Going To the Doctors
Do not bring me to doctors’ appointments
unless you want me to tell the truth.
“I always wear my seatbelt,” you say.
“That is a lie,” I correct you.
“I threw away those pills,” you say.
“He took two of them yesterday,” I tell the nurse.
The nurse looks like she is going to cry.
This is about the eighth question,
and they have all gone the same way.
“I think I’ll wait outside in the waiting room,” I say.
If he wants to get medications based on lies,
is it really any of my business?...
