Terrified of Medications
I am scared of medications
They terrify me
because of the effects
they have on me
They rarely do what
is expected,
and almost never do
what they do for others,
for me
Because I have the
dubious talent of
not reacting to
medications in
expected
or usual
ways
Pills that
knock three hundred
pound men out for
seventeen hours
keep me wide awake
for seventy-two hours.
