Fireflies
Like stars, fireflies yearn to shine
and match their beauty,
but kiss the ground awhile.
It is not true... that
"People don't match
one..."
Match, yes... mostly

As a little face twitches

This leaves us with four groups of people:
the dead and the living, the sane and the insane
but who can match which with which?
Chicken is poultry
it’s not poetry
I may write chicken scratch
I’m an artist to match
Mother disowns me
am I truly free?
Rich nothing to match
Giver like a philanthropist
From where come income?
To give to all not few to live
Prime,precious time!

that set my fields on fire.
Then came God’s healing.

MATCH TO WIN
Why are these songs playing
When it's him whom I'm thinking of?
Why do these lyrics they're singing
Often match how I am feeling?
Suddenly, there was no light
That made him very uptight
So, he struck a match
That fell on his patch
Causing his patch to ignite
Don’t turn a blind eye,
one slip becomes a snowball;
Use what was given;
Your fiery voice the match
to bring down a dead regime.
Incinerating us
one coal black night
my lover lit a match.
The things he said
cannot be taken back.
In my heart are cinders' ash!
I struck a match, igniting a spark
But it fizzled out in the dark

One summer day Speedy Gonzales
met a very sweet girl named Alice
she liked his big yellow sombrero
it complemented her little bolero
Age is a clamp seat
which does not match the decor
We hide it from view.

it like in the ring
you do your thing
move and grove
you must be school
with the tools
so you cuve the bad patch
LIFES A BOXING MATCH
Seeing you in pink
Takes my breath away
Relentless
And I want to paint it black
Now to match the weeds
Growing in my garden
Effortlessly
every dream, every chance
you burned them all
with just one match
brushing up against
memories sweet
incinerated ash
laying at your feet
In the dead of night
I hold a boxing match in my mind
and I can never be sure who the winner is
but some mornings
I wake up
black and blue
A chigger avoiding a scratch
Did not wait for larva to hatch
It found a new host
And quickly could boast,
"Our gedcoms are a perfect match!"
