Yalto
Invented by Edward Ibeh:
line 1 to 15:  3,4,2,4,5,3,2,3,2,3,3,5,6,1,5 syllables. Centered, no rhyme required.

All is black and you cry as darkness overwhelms you cringing all alone in the dark, helpless confused and frightened. Do not weep I'm your friend let me strike a match and set your doubts and fears free while we share its light. (Yalto) Nov. 2, 2018

I can envisage this being slowly recited on a stage or in church. It appears simplistic yet is deep and profound. Congratulations on your win. Cheers - Gary

Emile, this is a stellar tribute to the power of friendship to overcome the darkness of fear, confusion, and helplessness. It is a blessed person indeed who receives this kind offer from a friend. A very fitting poem to name your book after, my friend ~ John
