the bathroom toilet is gurgling
it sounds like it has the hiccups
a non-melodic, annoying, grating sound

my husband has shown me several times how to stop it
he can lightly touch the handle and it stops

I can lightly touch it eight times before it stops
annoyed by this too, I choose to listen to it
wishing we had the old toilets that did not make noise...

she was a beauty
maybe she was a he
whatever they were
they were gorgeous

bioluminescent purple
with fluorescent green eyes
they enhanced the solid oak tree
their colors being almost
psychedelic

I wondered if they could make noise
often owls who are this gorgeous are deaf or blind
whoooooo  whooooooo whooooooo
they were okay in that regard.
Even their hoots were beautiful....

as eyes dazzle towards the fire house on fire
in the imagination worlds where we skip stones and
make shapes and fists--hug ghostly women
and it feels like some new dawning love
while on the real streets the arrows are broken...
so someone must string a dream down
take tongue and hell-fire with it

and give more than just their food away....

on the rocks
the food tastes better

we stumble loss of flavor
hanging on the waiter
this dark place to fill a void
where you can be drunk and have a voice

like a painting in a window.
The midday traffic passes him by,
as he sits there quivering day in and day out.
Horrified, hungry, scared
just sitting there no where to go.
The night begins to trap him,
exhausted his eyelids close.
Day. He hears a voice of hope,
he sees a gentle hand reach out.
Confused from the hunger
he attempts to make noise.
He sees a friend.
He is found and hugged in relief...

Perhaps someone thought
That you envied their clan
And would be better off
With a role model man.

But it somehow seems wrong
If the name stays the same,

The Wind

It’s a dark night

I hear the whistling 

through the trees

“Pitter patter” the sound of the rain falling

I closed all the windows and all the doors

I can still hear the rustling of the leaves

on the ground

It is Fall my favorite season of all

A chilly windy rainy night in mid-September

The wind sounds like wolves howling or like spirits who make noise at night after dark when the spirit world is closest to this world....
