Apes In Space
See those primates rising before the sun?
Do you suppose this is how mankind had begun?
They jump up and down and make noise on the sand.
Guarding their watering hole, they take a stand.
They join together to make a group; never to be alone.
Any adversary is beaten to death with a bone.
Whoever thought these apes would start the human race?
After only a short time, they were traveling into space.
Based on the 1968 film “2001, A Space Odyssey”
