Vain Glory
In vain,
The entire body had taut veins,
For vain glory,
Brought immense pressures,
To cut them down to size,
One looked for a good thresher....

A Quest For Love

Where a male had looked for a spouse
He searched high and low
For Win, Place, or Show
But girls are afraid of a mouse....

So, he looked for a place to stay warm
He sat in the snow
Fell straight through the floor
Into a fire place with the named lukewarm...

All my life
I looked for a being
to accept my spirit
as a tenant...
I paid a high price
for this grant, a
rent for this condition...
But I didn't find a fixed acceptance
nor any settlement or
correspondence... !...

Limerick: Once a Nanny Looked For a Manny-Mannie
Limerick : Once a Nanny looked for a Manny/Mannie
Once a Nanny looked for a Manny
And found the father of her Kiddie
Poor Cuckold gave assent
With his Girlie’s consent
Now all five live in One Bliss House free.

A Little Problem
These midgit's live in a big castle.
Where getting around's a big hassle.
They looked for a way.
So that they could stay.
But the steps, too much of a passel*.
* Passel : large number or amount.
P. C. P. S. No offense intended with the use of the word midgit's. Peace. :)...

Trolls Want To Share a Wife
Three old trolls looked for a wife.
One to keep the rest of their life.
They decided they wanted to share one.
A woman who can cook said the troll who was fun.
A woman who was jolly and fine said Jimmy Whine.
A woman who wants me to make her mine.
I just want one who likes counting toes.
Said the grumpy troll with the dripping nose....

Breath of Love
I looked for a pen to write your name with but I couldn't find one
I felt pressured to run and tell of our little secret
I felt honored to be at your service
My breath of love
My breath of life
Tonight, let's make our secret known
Let's cough out the bad, to make room for the good
Let's make love up high, far away
Where only our breath of love breathes...

Get Well Wishes
I looked for a silver lining
Surely its not hospital dining
Then I thought since your the best
Perhaps you just need a short rest
Hello my dear old Aunt
Now I don't want to rant
But I heard your on the mend
So I just wanted to send
Tender Get Well Chants
wrapped
In healing grace grants
Soon you'll be up and at 'em
Three cheers to you, Madam...

A Problem
Two lonely souls met together
On a troubled river wave -
Looked at the stormy weather,
"Let's hold our hands to feel safe!"
They shouted to each other
And looked for a salvation,
And talk to one another
To find a consolation.
But both perished in the water
Though they were close to bridges.
There was a prosaic problem:
They spoke in different languages......

Stone
Again I dreamed of being in Paris last night.
I could not see me,
but I could see the city,
unchanged.
All the stone walls and
gray white stone of heavy buildings
that rose long ago
from the minds of builders
and the quarries of stone.
Again I looked for a telephone.
I wanted to call for someone
I knew long ago.
Call to warn them that
things can happen.
Even in Paris....

Longed - For Mail
I looked in my mailbox,
In hope that I would see
A friendly sort of letter
Written all for me.
The mailbox was full,
But to my sad dismay
It contained bills and magazines;
And nothing came my way.
I looked for a week,
And sadder I became
Everyday in the mailbox;
Nothing held my name.
Finally, I stopped looking,
It wasn't meant to be;
I didn't search the mailbox
And there was something there for me....

So Late To Return a Smile
I looked for a smiling face on the whole earth,
One day I saw a little girl looking through a window,
she smiled at me,
What else could be so alluring to me than that smile,
I was about to return her smile,
All on a sudden a tempestuous wind was blown
And shut the window on her face,
A sadness deepened around me,
I muttered my apology to dear little girl
for being so late to return her smile....

Three Wishes
In my youth appeared a star
I wished that it would send a car
Then I thought to throw a penny
And hoped for riches full and plenty
Once I used a candle and cake
To stop and cure a heart ache
Still many a time at bedside
I looked for a shining light to guide
Today I’m older with no superstitions
And seek the ways of a good physician
One who is magical and will share
How he plans to bring back my hair...

The Aging Night
Slowly my night was aging,
I found no dry path to stride along
Under the grey moon,
All those mortal moments, that I passed by,
Were not encouraging to me,
I desperately looked for a forgiving mind
In that poorly-lit night for my redemption.
I have an inchoate sense, it tells me—‘there is
Debris of hopes strewn out there somewhere.’
I found one, and picked up to illuminate the
Labyrinth of my erroneous life....

Rebel Man
I looked for a rebel
A person
A contrary man
Instead I found one in command
He helped me understand
His words demand to be read
I heard what he said
His words
They have weight like lead
Ideas molten
Flow from his head
A person
A contrary reflective man
He faced head on
When others ran
The embodiment of I CAN
I read
I see
I think
I understand
I reach out
I shake the hand
Of the Rebel Poet Man
Dedicated to Rebel Poet....

My Teddy Bear
I love my teddy bear,
for I like playing with its ear,
It`s fur is crystal clear,
which made it so dear,
my sister threw it up in the air,
and it fell down the stairs causing a stir;
Its head pulled off, which is not fair,
This made me to take it for repair;
Mr. Jones looked for a spare,
which was not there,
but he later got a pair,
which looked like the deer,
This cannot be compared to my teddy here;
Oh!I love my teddy bear....

Much To My Chagrin
I remember picking wild strawberries
with my sisters so my mom could make jam.
I looked for a glass jar to put them in,
thinking the bigger, the more it carries.
But I didn't much give a tinker's damn,
how thin.
As I ran ahead, I fell on my butt
shattering my jar, much to my chagrin.
Baring my ass, I proved this was no scam,
bleeding badly, I showed how it had cut
my skin.
