Lottery Ticket Limerick
I know it is quite a huge long shot. However, I can win a big pot. I will join the dance. Give my dreams a chance. A buck per ticket is not a lot.

Premium Member A Farmer's Lass
Sue was just a farmer's lass
At whom I made an awkward pass ~
She said, Let's have some fun
I'll let you see my bun ~
Too bad dad had a long shot-gun...

a green garden snake
slithers in the apple orchard
mother crys

rooster puffed chest pride
caged birds lay hollow eggs
fox father red eyed
pies baked on the windowsill
long shot gun in the shed...

Master Plan
a master plan without a plot
feelings displayed, quickly dropped
not connected like domino dots
forming a thick and grievous clot
I said I do but you cannot
as inside it spoils and rots
it was always a long shot...

Silence To Collide
“Playing tennis without a net,”
  perhaps Robert Frost was right

Free Verse serves with no return,
  day volleys into night

One long shot into the darkness,
  an open end divide

Its message fades, an echo dim
  —with silence to collide

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2019)...

Hoss Race
Long shot prospect
named “Reject Hoss”
bedecked with sweat.

He fell to last
‘till he passed gas
so fast, he flew!

He ran with ease.
At Jockey’s prod,
he squeezed in front!

Forty to one,
odds he won was
pure fun for Hoss.

What To Do
Thinking What am i gonna do ,
i never knew,

Life Could ever be like this
The Stability i do miss,

Gotta work my way back ,
To the top of the stack,

my life like a song,
Oh, where do i belong

don't know how to feel,
nothing seems real,

i gotta find who i am,
from where i came ,

It's a Long Shot ,
No Other Choice have i got....

Cadence
once...
I wrote a song for you
lyrics sung of crescent moons
of stars on ceilings glowing, too
all of this I did for you

once...
I took a long shot chance
when you asked me for a dance
mirrors reflected a sideways glance
adding to the ambiance

once...
I had a vivid dream
that your heart could not foresee
nonexistent cadence rings
and rends it crimson at the seams...

The March of the Elegant
who does not want a better life
a better view
a better place
a better life

so play the lottery
go to the track
hey...there's always vegas baby

it's come down to the simple fact that everything is a long shot,
were underdogs fighting a system.

rules are in place to keep you and me down.

take a breath
inhale the sweet freshness of........oh never mind.

I won a free lottery ticket

more details later...........

Aching Heart
Indigestion
Is the question
Brain illusion
Or misdirection

Doctor's pill
This sickly ill
Cannot repair
To fit the bill

Just time to heal
Oh, heartache feel
Is all to quell
My ache and reel

Restlessness
Just to confess
Invades my very
Consciousness

A hope that sticks
Physician's tricks
The long-shot risk
Of one more fix

Like fracture weld
Or soulful meld
Simple solution..
Just to be held

Loving People
We love people who hate us
Do all things with kindness
Teaching them more about us
To treat other people with kindliness

Life is too short
Some people don't use money wisely
It is a wide long shot
Their future can be worst

Knowing  to love and  assist others
It is  always pleasing  God
Who is living among us
And want us to continue doing good.

MISS JULY Vitamin-D shot — Temperate, she’s not! She’s cool and she’s hot. Miss July, her gold complexion shirks shade. Possession of yacht — Lease was a long shot. Time reflects in knots — The noctilucent cloud waves, sunlight sprayed. Buds eternal thought: Untrimmed moon garden sought. At zenith, Vega spots Delphinus the dolphin — East heaven played. 8/2/2019 A Summer's Day Redo Poetry Contest Sponsor: Michelle Faulkner

Solve Or Dissolve
That there are hard problems
           is life's given;

don't crack your head trying
           to solve all of them;

give your best long shot hoping
           now and then

that though they may persist
           or even worsen,

the ones you can't solve will
           eventually go

and solve themselves for you
           on the morrow;

just how or why, no way
           for you to know,

solve it or dissolve it, then
           let your life flow....

Sweet Cola Lady
I once saw a video starring Lou Bega. He was singing his release titled "Sweet Like Cola". There, he danced with a pleasing plump brunette. This kind of woman is one I would like to get. Lou described her figure as a little "round". However, he said he loved every pound. Singing "stop your dieting 'cause you're so sexy". With his description, I would wholeheartedly agree. I am hoping for one long shot lucky break. This is one type of woman I would like to take.
