My friend worked at the Zoo
Every day he smelled like animal poo
Monday's he clean the lions den
the next day he became, Hawaiian.
Leaving behind all the goo on his shoe.

The Lions Den
Walk of the ages step by step down pavement and dirt bare feet and linen, bark with the weight on shoulders king of king of all fiery eyes that knows thy enemy that laughs at the face of danger at first and last glance the prey that don't stand a chance of survival as he suffocates the opposition one by one...

Change.
maybe i've changed.
it wouldnt be so bad.
its not so deranged
to live dreams that ive had.
because everything turns,
all feelings will melt.
my stomach still churns,
when i remember what ive felt.
sleeping in the lions den,
holding on to pain.
searing hope with my pen,
wishing you would remember my name....

Chaos
Man is lost to doom,
thirsting to soar higher —
higher than immortal skies

Pride often flames
the haughty paths
to the lions' den

Yet, danger to man,
remains unseen as
greed fuels his lust to glory,

Insolence wrestles nature,
and conceit glooms the
sight of his willful mind

Man is lost to doom,
his ego swings the air
till the abyss hugs his soul....

The Light
Shining down into the mauve shadows path
It blinds some in justified wrath
Neither ore picks it up in the glory
Iron nor bronze can tell his old story
In truth it shines the brightest only when
A foolish sinner skips the lions den
Gave into saving, his heart now on fire
The light shone in, heavens desire
Stand there awhile, take a deep breath, and rest
This light puts us all to the test....

Bitterness
Bitterness,
Sparks like a bright light lit, from his tortured heart,
shone through.
The weariness of a lost soul that carried a flame
through the wind.
Rashness in his speech.
Bitterness,
For giving and forgiving.
Here his alms.
Here his family.
For giving and forgiving in deathly rain.
Meeting in the quavers of silence, which time carried.
A charter oak tree.
In a lions den.
Engrave on it the date.
From the Liberty Bell I hear no ring....

Still Inside
Dead alive numb thats how I survied
Buried deep within still inside
Open me up what do you see
Scares pain cold hearted mean
Bruses broken dead alive
Mind is spinning I hit the sky
Dawn approachs grass with dew
Deer running brand new
Always cold can not feel
Is this reality is this real
Can get out blocked with pain
Memories flashing making me insain
All locked up deep within
Open me up its a lions den
Dead alive numb thats how I survied...
