laurel foliage languishes on the lawn -

Talents-host and judge Simon Cowell,
Whose leadership crests with flying laurel;
Once, so impressed with the show,
Broke the AGT’s buzzer with his hardest blow.

It takes a snake’s forked tongue to kiss and tell
My Blue Ridges turned a Bitter Eden
Of all I’ve known Love is a Laurel Hell
The lowest limb’s fruit all bruised and beaten

shoots
        of elder
clusters of laurel
          in leaf,
fading lilies
       slowly die:
decorative
in rustic pose

the colour

On a Sunday in July
The meadow will sing of sage,
And laurel will rise purple
When I am strolling through the woodland.

Laurel and Hardy

LAUREL was a man with not much class
And HARDY was known as a pompous ass
Stan can’t keep his big mouth shut
Ollie would strike a stinging cut
“Another fine mess…,” he would always sass

Hibiscus
no wall-flower you.
Nor Nosegay laurel.
Not wormwood at virgin’s-bower.
So sweet William
seeing Venus’s looking-glass
discovers a Passion-flower.

Atlanta's Oliver Hardy
so pretentious and somewhat lardy,
had a sidekick,bungling,but thin

The Crown of Age

White hair, Gray hair, even No hair at all
some call it "The Crown of Age"
an imaginary but fixed laurel wreath for life

But, what is there actually under the "Victory Crown"?
in most lives, a sure sign of previous battles lost,
no more.

Glimpse

Glimpse I wander in the wild-wood where Leap, my dog, would play; rest upon some grassy bank where I with Megan lay. Time you thief who stole my life, the years go like a day. Leap lies beneath the laurel, my Megan went away.

Laurel and Hardy

Laurel and Hardy

Hey LAUREL, you better stop getting me in trouble
But HARDY just trying to catch the bubbles
Stop waving your dang arms
But I can’t catch that farm
You’re getting me in double bubbles of trouble.

Politicians Love Their Each Laurel

Politicians Love Their Each Laurel

Not only do politicians love each laurel,
Their responses seem to sound choral,

And impacts on us have been immortal.

If you could dance once more with me And hear sweet music and to see The moon, the stars, the deep blue sea And live once more in ecstasy To do the things that made you free Without a fear of what would be I would give that day to thee Then sleep beneath the laurel tree

Laurel's in heaven a girl kissed him He's going around with a stupid grin Hardy's jealous he wants a girlfriend He's out of luck no money to spend. Hardy's become a legionnaire Uniform too tight for his fat derrière Laurel was sent to Tanzania 'twas big mistake he caught diarrhea.

If Only the Falkland Sound Could Whisper

rain fingers stroke the Daphne’s neurosis
                 motionless.
            a laurel tree there.

rank-raw and austere, saucey and languid
fleckless like statue on a red room trip.

there’s this meticulous magic inventor
miming the locust in the elevator
genius and missionary
his chariot of polygon hares.

The October After

How far have we come,
love,
with these days growing tall
like long smooth laurel,
tell me,
how can I go on,
no longer reaching,
your bare marble skin, blue eyes,
too wise to cry,
I know,
I must, forget you faster...
yet the hours do not go,
for I'm still yearning,
searching,
but our footprints
are lost,
with the falling
leaves.

Now and Forever

Screeching noise
Vehicles cry aloud in the air
Retrograded to the past

Slimy moments
Green bay laurel
Giggles and smiles

Lapping ocean waves
sailing the sailor's ship
Anxious teenage rosé peeping through the alley

love
unfurl
love
stays
in hearts
to
live
    .......now and forever.......
