Morning

Hair, color of sun
Ruby lips whisper gently,
A ray of light, through the window curtain,
Languor, love to the brim, boundless.

What a Fate

In the morning
Nature is calm and pleasant
But man is unpleasant and languor
Disturbed with his past , present and future
What a fate.

Premium Member Butterflies

Between sips of Julep
birdsong wafts in the air;
busy bees and countless
butterflies abound on
blossoms of buddleia.
But me? I fall into
blissful torpid languor.

meadow of the noon
wildflowers of all colors
raptly I stand still

flinging both arms wide
underneath the citron sun
I whirl and I dance

the hour of languor
has no way impacted me
I twirl in fragrance

Premium Member Snowball Bush Beckoning

snowball bush full bloom
heart of enchantment dusk fumes
as butterflies flit

green lawn of languor
and beauties lying in beds
in the mellow noon

white moon and scent orbs
attracting hued birds and bees
stopping hearts and feet

Winter

Then, many times I have passed this area
Many times I have smelled yellow flowers
Many times I have heard the *papia,
In shivering cool, mists, fogs of winter
Looks stagnant, paralyzed and languor;
I have seen human comforted in haze
In the dead wintry nature of numbness.

Transient languor ends as
tantalizing faint scent
transfixes Baghinder.
Taut muscles, hair on end;
tangible now, the prey.
Tearing, screaming, death; the
timeless circle of life.

Efflorescence

The efflorescent dream to imbue
my opulent languor,whose ripples
vestigial,untoward,hissing,waving
the dalliance quite sneaky peaky.
Is it the murmur of a mellifluous song
yet to be sung by the divine entity!
Is it the penumbra of an ethereal beauty
soothing my bosom with its eternal charm !

Premium Member Lethargic Air

Lethargy holds life broken, dream notions molded
and harshly sits heavy, deeply within my chest.
Glum stillness chokes fresh, moving air until listless
inside pale walls too groggy-bleak to bear witness.
Hung languor peaks indifference with vehemence
while the outside world circles null with endlessness.

Rush

I need the rush it always brings
expanding vessels to my brain
the aroma, my favorite taste
caffeine, do your stuff

pump your magic to my heart
flood my head with a thousand thoughts
invigorate and energize me
caffeine, do your stuff

shake this languor from last night
rid those dreams with this daylight
a full day is ahead of me
coffee, always what I need

Water Currents

I watch the clouds slowly drifting,
The stars far behind,
I feel myself wishing,
As the wind rustles the pine.

A true love awaits,
But where to be found,
Heartache castrates,
A love so profound.

Dubious remorse dwells,
In a broken heart of thunder,
Lightening augments,
Morbid thoughts of wonder.

Where is the love,
Profoundly empty heart,
Languor in solitude,
As limpid water currents part.

In Love With Sophy

In searching for her he’s found a philosophy
to balance his soul in the presence of Sophy.
The scales of existence measures his sufferings,
from his shoulders, she’s taken off the weight of desires.
His spirit is soaring above the ordinariness.
The lightness rules over the human hopelessness.
Penetrating into the Universe is the man.
The truth is a languor for him till the end.

A Bland Repository

dreary eyed, musky languor- tassels tight
a loose walk paraded by looser convictions
an acquaintance of that sad, lowly height
that alluded odysseys and several hymns

open window, surely dries out the stink
encroached in the room shadows and fleas
the zeitgeist of this area; to even think
flowers and dewdrops burly trees; to seize
the thought, it lingers, but only so little
too soon, to even land a misty eyed dream.

Premium Member The Arbor

Mary’s arbor is adorned
with white petal tresses
and twists of heritage roses
that wander wistfully upwards
with perfumed breezes
that waft in luxurious languor.

Sweet scents woo hummingbirds
to sip its pistil delights
while monarchs fly in to play
then zigzag away
where restless bees hum and indulge
to a distant tune…

…in a place where sunlight
happily winks
with unfettered delight.

Green leaves listless languor lushly suspended

Dew glistening on grassy fields in early morn

Breeze gathering, cumulous clouds upended

Sun's rays burning through atmosphere's haze, reborn

Sweet corn on the cob gracing street vendors' stalls

Ice cream creations on cones piled up so tall

Love's blossoms on flower petal arrangements

Bridal showers, joyous wedding engagements

The Journey of a Gaslit Soul

The day of birth decides the date of death.
In the theatre of life that unlatched,
happiness and heartaches alike
what count to be taken,
to be scripted down on my own?

Knew this all,
spoke it all,
but the ambrosial journey that started,
now being pervaded by languor.
due to Gaslit Soul!

A journey of thousand miles
one step made it curtailed
now locked in the scarred walls
Of a Gaslit Soul!

Premium Member Thorns Upon a Wilted Vine

Thorns upon a wilted vine
hidden within my flower bed
Through and about they do twine
From my flesh, the color red

Hidden within my flower bed,
my emotions do languor
From my flesh, the color red
weeps, yet I feel no anger

My emotions do languor
Though the ancient Willow tree
weeps, yet I feel no anger
No flowers do I see

Though the ancient Willow tree,
through and about they do twine
No flowers do I see,
thorns upon a wilted vine

Anticipation

Springs in the air, can’t you smell it?
To me the scent can’t be explained
So it makes no sense in trying.
All I know is springs on its way.
Whenever that familiar scent
Arouses these nostrils of mine
It automatically triggers
A colorful, dreamlike collage
In my anticipating mind;
Muted and inanimate till
The first robin redbreast warbles
Its early morning springtime song.
So, in the meantime, I languor
In this feeling called spring fever.

Maa Lift Me Up

MAA LIFT ME UP

Most ravishing phrase in my life, maa lift me up!
It made me glory, when i am glad.
It made me glory, when i am sad.
Maa lift me lift me up!!

Most abominate phrase in my life, maa lift me up!
It sounds bitter, when i am languor.
It sounds bitter, when i am anger.
Maa lift me lift me up!!

My kid love to use it, but me-
Do i hate it, i dont know?
Do i love it, i dont know?
But i never stop to lift her up in her life...

Breakfast

Beside a sluice rests a home:
humbly weaved with strands of memoirs.
Minute signs of yesterday’s flight
submerge beneath cinders of warmth.

Inside is a temple, Genesis’ daughter,
who rears the seeds of tomorrow’s spring.
Withstanding languor: gravid’s twin,
she awaits the sojourn of a milk-washed kin.

Soon enough, she perches on lives-
each, counting chickens inside their minds.
Alas, they fail to know their fate:
not all will leave their carapace.

Premium Member A Bit of Heaven

Here in summer’s languor, no words could ever tell
Beholding beauty such as this, would cause the tongue to swell
Where the slopes of other valleys, or longing lakes afar
The heart feels quiet sympathy, they cannot compare as well

So overcome with majesty, and tranquil peaks of snow
The stillness of a mirrored lake, unlike I have ever known
If heaven could be so beautiful…Dear Lord, please take me now
If heaven’s gate, is such as this, I would not hesitate to go

Premium Member A QUINTESSENTIAL NOTE TO YOU

Create your lines,
Both soft and strong
Make them intuitive
(yet not too long!)
The spectators require
The reader needs!
Tactile verses …
Responsive languor..Yet with speed.
If you aim to please
The human judge. You will only miss.'
To be later lampooned
O’er the slightest smudge..
Instead to prevail
Load your ballista with fudge.
To smother those and their p’etards
Also their various other senses
(until they can’t bloody budge).

Long Legged Ruminant

Long-legged ruminant

So, you think a camel is an ugly animal
with kissable lips and the eyes of
Marilyn Monroe, and yield low-fat milk
I bet you didn’t know this.
When four wheels stop in the sand of Sahara
the camel with padded feet trudges along
The beast smelled like hell, but who cares
when it brings to an oasis.
Sweet dates, cold water and languor under
palm trees, a dream come true
It was the trusted camel who found the way.
Have you ever tasted camel cheese?
