Lethargic Air

Lethargy holds life broken, dream notions molded
and harshly sits heavy, deeply within my chest.
Glum stillness chokes fresh, moving air until listless
inside pale walls too groggy-bleak to bear witness.
Hung languor peaks indifference with vehemence
while the outside world circles null with endlessness.

You so perfectly captured lethargy, this is how my mood looks sometimes, well-expressed!

It breaks my heart to know someone actively deals with this feel though I know one cannot get it out their door to then slam it shut, it's hard to 'change the channel.' Affirming that 'despite appearances all things were in divine order' helped, but mostly it seemed divine intervention thru the people God sent - when HE was ready! Thank you for the compliment, those know know can close their eyes & spill it in poetry- cough, you! Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Thank you!!! While that is not my daily 'feel', I have lived the above and shall never forget it. It is such a wonderful thing to put in past tense (and keep there.) Again, thank you for commenting - I appreciate it. All the best ... CayCay
