My mind's kryptonite
Compressed in a single name
Synonym for love
All that my heart has to give
All the dreams I wish to live
Jack o'lanterns were all alight
To frighten spooks throughout the night
But there was an hitch
When a nasty witch
Made all our candy Kryptonite
Large buttered popcorn
biscuits and gravy with hash browns
monsters
caffeinated pop
pot of coffee with cream
everyone has their kryptonite
what's yours?
Kryptonite for my lustful methods of sweet seduction.
I am weakened when treated so much like a reduction.
My own body has always been the reason for his reaction.
kryptonite needed
stranded on alien planet
krypton calls me home

Remembering Riply from their movie Alien settling into her pod
Embarking upon an unknown moment as time and I find myself there
Within this life another day to dredge whom knows, how long a child must endure
Form:
Being a showgirl made her kryptonite
Bill kept it a secret for it was a blight.
At this time show folk were ostracized on sight.
She married his cousin who had his own light.
Bill always felt badly and kept out of sight.
The man lives in a fishbowl
that's always patroled
A high intensity microscope
where in darkness he gropes
Every word always weighed
by the left and the right
If Superman were President ~
Nah, he'd rather take kryptonite
love be kryptonite
to every superman ignite
that fall in love in flight
with that special superwoman and
for every super heart we trust tonight
that leaps over tall building and skyscrapers
in one single bound
shall find that
super lover inside of you
Mackintosh had a magnetic sister
who's eyes were green Kryptonite.
At age ten seductive Loke
(he of the windmill eyes),
set forest fires
where no fuel burned,
tormented nerves to abuse skin.
Mackintosh's sister,
no stranger to malarkey within
slyly winked.
i feel like E.T.
the light is too bright
i feel like Bruce Banner
my rage has such might
my spidey senses tingle
constant fight or flight
jumping to the jiggle
of my peripheral sight
i walk like E.T.
around kryptonite
***
I saw you and immediately knew you were different, you had changed within months after you left
a cycle repeats as you enter and return to my life, each time breaking me more than the last
Of course, I always give in because my heart simply crave for yours
if only you felt the same
Love is sight of the rising blood-
m o o n kryptonite. AS
Crumbling words of lies dying
clashing blades as knives
through the dark -- the Soul
pries wide my mouth with spears
filling my pounding heart with
rejoice as scorn and defying
peace wrestle GIANT FEAR
into all opposing darkness!

Believing, that deep inside everyone of us, surely hopes....
As wishes the very best for any and all be life; misunderstood
Their chastised children running from Love's Angels while rushing
Unto his devil three doors down this, kryptonite ? If she goes crazy then, will
You still call her, Superman ? Flying high waving in the sky free birds; zombie land.
Form:
in darkness we all look the same ~ pawns can capture a king in the game
elephant president with crooked tusks ~ wears the fetid scent of musk
find the kryptonite to end his mad reign ~ America is in pain
DODGE, the felon ~ the Department of Donald Glorifying Elon
to snuff the flames of a gas lighter ~ the world would be so much brighter
Today’s the day that Superman
Fell to earth and couldn’t stand
He lit upon his neck all wrong
And found he was no longer strong
His super powers gone all right
His horse’s name – old Kryptonite
Mdailey 5/27/11
Actor Christopher Reeve (Superman) was paralyzed when thrown from his horse
during a jumping event in Charlottesville, Virginia on May 27, 1995
the hushed bitter cold of Winter in the forest
as the ice hangs in the air whispering
the snow crackling under my boots
and frosty pure white snowflakes like filigree lace fall

I hate that you fight me
While your eyes shine brightly
Acting like I can’t see
That you still really love me
Your mom says that she see’s it in your eyes
Claiming that you hate me
When really, it’s all lies
Even your dad knows, it’s no surprise
When I’m in your sight
Everything feels just right
I become your dream knight
That’s why I am your kryptonite.
Listen to poem:
That green ring
gets into my head.
Where did it come from?
Why won't you say?
Why can't you take it off, now
just to please me?
But, you refuse.
You know that only you
have got that one thing
that I need.
The want brings me to my knees.
Overcome with weakness,
green about the gills
I can't breathe.
Get that green thing
outta my head!
Please, please I beg you!
LOUDER THAN BOMBS
SILENCE ECHOES
MY CROOKED HEART
IS ON THE MEND
UNCERTAINTY KILLS
HOLDING TIGHT
TO THIS BALLOON OF HOPE
WORDS, MY LIFELINE
TELL ME
WHERE I STAND
ANXIOUS HANDS
WRITE THESE WORDS
EYES DART, SEARCHING
FOR THE BEACON
DISAPPOINTMENT, A SURETY
I'M LEFT
WITHOUT ANSWERS
YOU TOY WITH MY EMOTIONS
A CAT AND MOUSE GAME
I'M NOT SUPERGIRL
BUT YOU ARE MY KRYPTONITE.
Bejeweled, fifteen hundred miles high
Reaching into her sky: We....
Are getting old before our time
We'll leave the television as the radio behind
Stepping out of time; beyound their night
Sprawling on these fringes be her city
We are meant to board her; where all is One
Love and she is us this beautiful bride; embellished
Majestic's bright kryptonite; Your, the talk of the town: Victoria.
Form:
The Sun
A blasting fireball of raging inferno
Sizzling to the core of your naked eye
A spectacular show from days start to end
Its rays slowly flood the valleys and canyons
Carefully it ascends through the infinite heavens
Heat blasting the desert sands to unbearable
It’s warmth encourages the bees to buzz
It’s energy kryptonite to bergs of ice
When it sets, it paints the sky so beautifully
Form:
Sometimes I feel like Superman
After bathing in Kryptonite;
I know that I have super powers
But nothing turns out for me just right.
I should be faster than a bullet
And see through walls with my sight;
But my vision is all blurry
And I’m slowed by Kryptonite.
I would like you to be my Lois Lane
And stare at my “S” in shapely tights;
But I feel more like a weak Clark Kent
Overdosed on Kryptonite.
Hello POETESS’ and POETS as My Host would Say
I’ve been asked to Speak in His Stead :Take it as YOU May
Do YOU Remember when Last YOUR Heart Fluttered in LOVE
When I was Young ; I can recall pulsating , to a Ever Perfect Life
Her Green Eyes : “ Kryptonite “ to ME HER Superman
The Portrait in HER Eyes , as mine ; is a reflection of Her Agape LOVE
TO BE COTINUED : MAYBE
It beckons to you then it consumes you
worse than any figure of imagination
it’s enough turn the happiest person blue
causes disruption in the greatest nation
a mental planet made from kryptonite
will cause an endless night to be unfurled
consuming the good, kind, brave, bold, and bright
it will cause the destruction of the world
what is this thing that makes you insecure
the most destructive thing in the world, fear
