A cat that crosses your path
brings good luck to the pocket
A rock that knocks your left toe,
announces danger ahead of you.
He always knocks on my door
same old line that I abhor
You have failed did not get through
"Stuff it Pal, no one asked you"!
Score!
Weaving in and out
Pushing and shoving my way about
Everyone screams and shouts
When my puck knocks his lights out.
Score!
wild possum plays dead
woodpecker knocks on green wood
willow weeps for both
wherever the carcass is
will the vulture there gather
The bells ring and feet patter across the floor
Someone knocks on the door
Paper fly and teachers scream
Much to learn, much to see
In the fountain of our longing,
In the ache that is our core,
May we see each our hearts belonging,
When it knocks on our front door.
Here I stand on shaking ground
The lion pounces,
knocks me down
Up from the ground
I stand, and then
the lion knocks me down again.
Form:
bird stands on one leg
wave almost knocks him over
wings provide escape
he works so hard
at being balanced
what will tip him over
so, he knocks it out of the park, right?
first try!
everyone
all praise
then he starts second-guessing...
everything!
A hot opportunity knocks
Buy and sell incoming space rocks
We love asteroids
But are covered by Lloyds
In case our own blocks suffer shocks
Many years I kept you in box
Box of good memories that knocks
Birthdays come alive
Like roses in five
Candles I lit, my love that rocks!
Beats on path of heart
Dreaming of a romance rose
Soft melodic hums.
There won't be knocks on your door
Rush of passion grips your core!
the door not locked
or even barred
light slips through
what is left ajar
an intruder knocks
seeing it not blocked
and steals my heart away
Math is tough.
It plays rough -
take's no guff,
calls your bluff,
grabs your scruff.
Had enough?
It clocks you,
knocks you
On your duff.
sunshine fades away
chaotic sullen whirlwind
ink jar knocks over
bleary heart in disorder
canopy of pain pours rain.

She (a poor virgin) anxious
dreams... that
love (a prince) knocks
at her door... or
Enters through the window...!
the knocks on that board!!
have you read her odd story!?
to make sure near bear!
you and your VB
are very closed to the end
hardly making sure
When love comes in fast
it knocks you down and holds you
and cradles your fears
poetry
all styles
beauteous
we don’t choose
forms compel
wooing us
on heart’s door
a rhythm knocks
soul listens

Prosperity

Show yourself approved.
Prosperity seldom knocks
on the sluggard’s door.
Clyde Stanson sought to repair clocks
he labored in school of hard knocks.
Getting them to tick
was a simple trick.
But they wouldn't produce any tocks.
He wanted whole wheat not rye
The sloppy sandwich made him cry
He knocks the plate on the floor
Then decides to order more
His sandwich was extremely dry
Warning
Death knocks on earth’s door
Resources used for profits
Cry, depleting…all.

Poetic form: Haiku
the tiny duck with quite a quack,
an ear shattering YAK, YAK, YAK,
he rarely makes a peep,
until you are asleep,
then that quack knocks you out of the sack
Man leaves phone booth too quickly, and then?
Knocks his front tooth out with his gold fountain pen.
