Carapace
A carapace of courage
Lies buried in the hills.
A library of wisdom
Stocked with empty pages,
Erased for all the ages.
A husk of special skills
And verbal vitality
Dad, juggernaut at rest....

January
Juggernaut winds howling south;
Arctic colds, chill, in their mouths.
No respite through winter days
Unless north creep sunshine’s rays.
And the groundhog comes too late
Relegating to its fate
Year’s first month a gray estate.

He Wears His Golf Cap Up High
He Wears His Golf Cap Up High
His eyes throw comic arrows at his golf shot
Juggernaut after another, and a turkey trot
Double fidgets, a puppet swing
Slices and hooks on a string
Knees and feet wobble, his lessons went to pot

Intransigence
INTRANSIGENCECapricious in opinion
Parental – High handedness
Work put in
By sentinel minions
Juggernaut enthused
Serial circumstance
Discorded use. Abstinence!
Crushed! UNDONE!
Inconsonance
I am slighted. Rebuffed!
Disinherited
Urgency brings revolution
Insurgence
Of divine retribution.
End....

I Wonder
I Wonder. I sit in this immensity of sound;
a bellow in the blast sound;
a sound that rips sensitivity’s jacket thread bare
and lays waste to any cogent thought.
I am filled with hope as I sail through the night
In this juggernaut of noise known as the church lobby.
I get up, walk back to my office and close the door....

Juggernaut
blind ignorance dims light in human hearts
to darken traces of hope's
pathways to brotherhood
with forces hammered in bigotry steel
foolishness is wrongly forged
that cynicism may blaze
juggernaut wheels of wrongness steady turn
prompted by power and greed's
want to root in deceit

Complications
Spiritual juggernaut
blessed in angel fire,
pushed from birth, in virtue not,
into life blood pyre.
Sinister cloud haunts her soul
while the rest come and go.
Her blood, drained of most all hope.
Too few words left to sew.
The pages are left to blank.
Life blood gone haywire.
Wordsmith on extended break
to build her own pyre....

fun with words in July
jiggling juggernaut jockeyed judo
katie’s Korean kitties killed with kudos
lively llamas listened, learning Latin
Mischievous miscreants misused satin
Needless nimble noodles kneaded themselves
Opulence and opals were seen in land of elves
Paralyzed parlor poodles paraded past purple pails
Quarrelsome queens quickly collected quick quails...

Childhood Ghosts
The cat shrieks as childhood ghosts alight upon my window,
frame and draw cords rattle in high volume,
sashes split like earthquakes on a seismic fault,
tidal waves of tainted forest leafs a swirling, twirling juggernaut.
Thunderstruck by frozen panic, black night's wild tsunami cloud an ink pot mesh,
funeral dirges whistle,
Chanting misdemeanors at a tremor ridden soul

Take Them
high up, none gone with them
some under the hem
read a taste of lights
understand the flies
reinvigorate the scene
underneath a beam
of good food and antsy pants
run amuck, kind find
kindness of the mankind
real in the parish
go get the garnish
reinvigorate the garbage
see the stolen pen
to the bin, read
a juggernaut
be an astronaut
just do something jim
get all of them,
take them...

Mason
From the day you arrived we fell in love
Little did we know the boy you'd become
From first word to first steps
A bright future is what we expect
Riding along on your motorbike
Reading the Hairy toe a million times
You and your sister are so alike
That smile
That glint in your eye
That giggle
That Mr Grumpy face
Our little champ
Our dinosaur
Our juggernaut
The final piece of our jigsaw...

Juggernaut
Not the crush
But the GOD
JUGGERNAUT!
Racing hidden above a naked earth
Power roiling deep within
For just a day or two wet smells
Liberated soil
Chlorophyll
At intervals sense a BURST
Guts of Juggernaut at work
Don't now look into the sky
Clouds have no lasting eternally
Action boils down here
HE's left a peaceful winter place
Opened up green veins
And saturates the mind of spring...

Textodeath
Love. Unrequited , unacted.
In torture
A prison of the soul
An endurance campaign
Cold war tactic
A bottomless hole
Juggernaut winds. Chaotic rain
My persistence, in text, now sent
Driven insane
Infinite distance
Confused - no kiss - No answer
And still no end
No incidents or accidents
Not one happy coincidence
Just privacy
Lonesome sick sense
That this romance
A travesty
deny a first or last chance....

A Different Life
How much more different,
And happier,
My life might have been
If it had only happened to someone else.
But then happiness is a choice, not a condition.
I sit here, now, and wonder how
And by what route I have come to be
Who and what I am.
Old, to some almost derelict,
Unreal at times, even to myself,
A not altogether innocent victim
Of the sheer randomness of living
And that inexorable juggernaut…
Time.
...

The Juggernaut
My eyes tell a story
Do you wanna know?
The tempest and the temptations
Are alive but wasn't enough to trounce me
I'm wild and loyal
Resilient and practical
Church-mindedly ruthless and effervescent
A cheerful giver of love not lust
Smirtle! I make you laugh not cause I care
But to show my brawniness
My prowess as a queendom
Goes without the saying - I rule
Not bard of Homer or Avon
But I write
Your destiny not mine
I'm the juggernaut...

Infinity Wish
Time . . .
Lays low everyone
With its passing
Time . . .
More often than not
We find out
There is not enough
In the end
Time . . .
It rolls on
Never slowing down
The inexorable juggernaut
Time . . .
Leaves us
Wishing for more
And more
For there is never enough
To do and say
All that satisfies
Time . . .
Leaves only memories
In its wake...

Waterlover
Through murky waters
a manatee sees me;
brave he is,
but knows not
my kind
or does,
has shouldered mine,
the reckless,
careless.
I look down at wet feet
planning escape from
eyes that yank
shame from me.
I am the species
juggernaut
and he, a refugee,
gliding back and forth
alongside a slippery dock,
his back a revelation of
crisscrossed shapes
he needs me to see.
And when I whisper
'Will you be here tomorrow'
he answers, 'you tell me.'...

Tactical
He’s seen himself
twice
in four days.
Moving mineral from mythic,
I present to you one invisible goddamned man.
A wheel-spinning spirit, efforts of the dervish are occasionally futile. Over the maelstrom’s edge, he gets but occasional peeks.
They call it ideation, and it’s enough to take your wallet and keys.
Once released, the dance with the Taurus resumes.
“Look at yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror!” the juggernaut fumes.
He’s seen himself
twice
in four days...
