high through jagged pines
spiraling up towards the sky
smoke from our cabin
indicating the changing
fickle Indian summer
This road
This jagged edge
The sticks are stones
Now broken words
To mend these bones
We are not meant
To live alone
Proud Flags of a Fool unfurled-
Fell upon Life's jagged rocks
I closed my Door unto the World,
But, alas! It has no locks!
Bones
jagged,
scabbed up skin;
But oh that fire;
Diamond in the rough;
Faded tattoos
bloody smile
simply
shine.
somewhere
along
its
jagged
route,
bitter owl
will
blot
the
sun
and
carve
the heart
into
a
mouse
Thundering dark sky
Above me
Wondering why you love me
And then one day
Jagged light hugged me
I've had a nice time
Behind me
The path goes along broken
The large ruts
Jagged trail
Not looking back I move on
Perfection ahead
Russell Sivey
She stumbles from the needle,
on life's ugly, jagged edge;
yet with gracefulness and beauty,
she leaps out from the ledge.
Darkness
envelopes soul
rising screeching thoughts instilled
missed unseen jagged light escapes
heaviness weighs my heart
yellow tissues in jagged flight
Brimstones flutter by
the sounds of song- birds on high
in new birth's cry
distant storms exhale
waves break upon jagged rocks
shattered shells tinkle

Splashing down a jagged mound
into a pond with laughing sound
sparkled by sun, stirred by breeze
cocktail of stars for thirsty gees
Too heavy for sky,
Night cradles the harvest moon.
Soft, loitering, light
Silhouetting rooftops, spires
Jagged black against its glow
deep air filled lungs ascent -
purity revived
fluttering over jagged peaks
unlike an eagle -
butterflies
teaming nectar
among stones
draw in many breaths
pure crisp cotton snowy air
jagged peaks beckon
snare young and old to challenge
death defying runs of ice
The wind calls,
The rain falls,
The storm is coming nearer.
Black clouds crack,
"Crack! Crack! Crack!
Throwing their jagged spears.

jeopardized jellyfish jangled jagged jewels.
Jingling jolly jovial jim-dandy jellybeans.
Jellyfish jocundity joyously jostling jubilantly.
I see everything.
I see that only one thing matters.
I see men and women break themselves against its jagged rocks.
This is why I am scarred.
Hands of jagged cliffs

smooth polka dotted grandma
wrinkly and crinkly now
her eyes are shrunk
some teeth are jagged
she is raggedy
jealous of her fifty-year-old-self
Death in the heart...
Death is the heart my beautiful child
the jagged, cold, soaking heart
Dark in the soul
Darkness replaces the soul my ugly child

Life, the time sovereign
is also powerful.
She didn't think so,
didn't feel the
weight of days,
how they grind edges,
polish jagged moments
to jewels.
Internal pain
Jagged gasps
Unruly mind
Stop it all
Terrible thoughts
Can't go on
Regrets appear
Intense emotion
Everything broken
Doubts pounding
Treacherous ebb tide
Jagged barbs among the mist
Step-stones to freedom
